okIt´s not that you just don´t kick properly. At all.

Why in the world would I be worried about a karate youth practitioner with impeccable technique. I remember I used to go help my instructor coach youths and when we sparred he would always have to tell me to stop hitting them so hard to the point of basically tickling them while I let them him hit me with their impeccable technique. Didn’t hurt a bit. Athletes makes fighters not a particular style. I just so happen to favor karate even if as you say it is “ bad technique”.when I watched Francisco Filho and Glaube Feitso do karate fights, it is worlds different from your technique. Ok they are two of the best ever. But there is no way you can say your kicks are proper technique for karate. If anything karate guys have excelent kicks when they come to K1. Pitchkunov, Feitosa, Filho, Shilt, they always got the most controled flashy kicks like spinning back, axe and sneaky high kicks.
I guess I´m expecting too much. But no seriously, go to an average gym and you will see kids have better technique than that. Sure you are one strong guy but that technique looks like first day.

Yeah that´s why everyone in MMA uses muay thai, boxing, bjj, judo, wrestling, kickboxing and noone used that weird hands down punching style you demonstrated or karate. When did you see Jon Jones do these type of things or anyone. If you are gonna cite Machida and Wonderbody, their style incoorporates karate but it´s very very regular boxing style too and defensive movements.Athletes makes fighters not a particular style.

that´s not a karate styleWatch Floyd mayweather. He brings a karate psychology to all of his fights as in he sits back back in the Philly shell and beats his opponents with quality over quantity. Whereas watch manny his style is to seek and destroy.
It most certainly is karate psychology and strategy yes.Yeah cause you gotta let new kids get used to the idea of being touched to the face with punches. That doesn´t mean you were so good it means they are some new kids who are still scared.
cause they are kids who just came to the sport

your life
that´s not a karate style
I think Karate phisolophy is move in move out. It is not defend strikes. Karate doesn´t even have techniques to block or perry punches. Karate is just blitz than get out.It most certainly is karate psychology and strategy yes.

You are correct it about one punch one kill. Inaccurate to say karate doesn’t have a defense.I think Karate phisolophy is move in move out. It is not defend strikes. Karate doesn´t even have techniques to block or perry punches. Karate is just blitz than get out.

I´m not informed on that.Inaccurate to say karate doesn’t have a defense.

I was actually thinking about getting back into karate at some point and competing again.you´re not trying to be a competitive fighter so who cares anyways
why do you randomly compete in 5 different sportsI was actually thinking about getting back into karate at some point and competing again.
The one sport ive never stopped playing in my life is baseball so little more than maintenance level skill work is necessary. You can effectively run a semi aggressive lifting routine and still do a little bit of explosive work and enough conditioning and not drastically affect your ability to play the sport.why do you randomly compete in 5 different sports
basically you´ll just play sports for the thrill of it and healthy lifestyle. Perhaps look good too.The one sport ive never stopped playing in my life is baseball so little more than maintenance level skill work is necessary. Once im done with my lifting/conditioning goals I will change the way I train while more or less maintaining strength acquired for combat sports.
Will likely take a couple of years to exactly where I would prefer to be and do what I want then I can start really honing in on a karate competition before im 45.
After im done with that I will likely do a CrossFit style/hybrid athlete program for the rest of my life and never look back. That is the plan anyways but plans dont always work out do they?
Yea that's pretty much it. I have been a government worker for 20 years now.basically you´ll just play sports for the thrill of it and healthy lifestyle. Perhaps look good too.
Do you work career wise ?
You went absolutely beast mode on that heavy bag.just signed up for the masters 1 in December in Houston. Plan is to do a supertotal program back to back then run juggercube method in line withe my hardball tournament and the meet
Easy to mock until you are the one eating those hits. You went absolutely beast mode on that heavy bag.
That’s crazy, it would have been interesting to see how you would have fared in Pride back in the day.I am not a trained boxer or kickboxer but rather I am karate and tkd trained striker as I hold a second degree black belt in those arts. It’s what I competed in in my youth. I have used karate against very good boxers as in gold gloves winners in no holds barred boxing matches with a very good record against them in my late teens. I believe in my style of karate To each his own however.
Everybody in this thread would have been decimated. That’s crazy, it would have been interesting to see how you would have fared in Pride back in the day.
