As a long time mma watcher I love seeing the growth of fighter from caterpillar with limited skillz or knowledge to full fledge mma butterfly with new skillz and a bag of knowledge to put to work. Sadly you also get to see fighters de-evolve overtime to a sad shell of their former sell that is not so fun to watch especially if it's a fighter you fly the flag for.

I think seeing a guy like Charles Olivera have such a long career, so many great performances, some heartbreaking defeats, and when people have forgotten about him to the point that he could have a 7 or 8 fight winning streak and still not be in the conversation, then to finally get there and win the title. That's the kind of stuff I think is great.
