You're a fool if you think the civil war was only about slavery.
Don't care about the suspensions; play stupid games and win stupid prizes.
I am, however, disappointed in the journalism. Heroic restraint my ass. This is the kind of melodramatic language the liberals on this board have a love affair with abusing.
I like how you purposely ignored the 'mass murder' part.
Am i the only black person who doesn't give a shit about the Confederate Flag? Rednecks are far to stupid to understand the meaning behind it. it isn't just about slavery, i love how that part is always over looked.
I find it amusing when self-proclaimed patriots display the flag. And it may not be just about slavery. It may not be just about traitors. But it is the flag of slavers and traitors, and anybody waving it around for other causes will still be associated with slavers and traitors.
educate me?
didn't the south fight a war to protect tis right to own black people, work them to death, rape black women whenever they wanted, beat and murder black slaves?
And it may not be just about slavery. It may not be just about traitors. But it is the flag of slavers and traitors, and anybody waving it around for other causes will still be associated with slavers and traitors.
The Confederate flag is the flag of traitors to America and the people that fly it deserve to be treated no less.
Was the United Kingdom created to protect the institution of slavery? What about the Union Jack? That flag was waving in the wind on slave ships coming to offload their bounties in America.
So you're agreeing that the state right they sought to protect above all others was slavery. Great, we're all in agreement then. They did cite their right to the slave system as a major reason for their cessation, if that's what you mean*. Not sure about the murdering or raping or working to death though. Those were explicitly forbidden even in the deep south**.
But above all the war was about protecting their rights as states. There is a reason they called their new government "confederacy", after all.
Except that you already agreed that slavery was a major reason.See, this guy gets it. It's not about slavery at all, but allegiance.
