I've been to concentration camps and realize how horrible Axis powers were. But what we are talking about is a matter of degrees, not a complete dissimilarity. Slavery in the South was, in effect, concentration camps without the gas chambers.

Yeah, but it wasn't like the Confederates were killing their slaves wholesale. Abusing or killing your slaves was bad business, they were expensive. It wasn't like every household in the South had slaves, it was a small percentage of Southerners.
