*holds laughter*

good job on the job.....kk

Join the GNC cult! muahahahahaah.

I hate your grip strength.

If it were a person, I'd surprise secks it.

Twice.

Good stuff, Smashy.

Cheers, to quote the vernacular.

I hate your grip strength.

I hate your squatting strength, guess we're abouyt even.

*goes to cry in corner because we're nowhere near even and my squat sucks donkey balls*

Have you tried thick bar work.

i used to work at one...i just hope yours has somewhere you can sit down because GNC's really do not get that busy outside of the first week of the month

Have you tried thick bar work.

Nah.

It's almost sickening how simple I am. If I don't already have it, it will take a lot to get me to get/buy/find it.

FATKID needs to correct this about himself.

My friends, none of whom really lift (go figure) all think I'm a fucking beast. I show the ones I work with your crushing/bending videos and that admiration deflates a bit.

Moral of story:

there's ALWAYS room to improve. In life and lifts.

Life.

Lift.

Just one letter difference.

Coincidence????

You can amke a thickbar using a towel or a couple of magazines, some 2" pvc tubing and a DB handle.

Wrap handle in towel or paper to desired thickness, tape then slot pvc over end. Viola, you have a thick bar, now do one handed deads and watch your grip get scary. One arm rows are good too.

Mickey - Post seem dead as the last thing was in june, but I asked and i'll see what happens with it, thanks for that.

Looks like there's a group of amateur strongmen just south of me from that link Fatty posted, might go and train with em if they'll let me once i'm back up to speed. Unfortunately there was a bunch of guys training in a garage round the corner from my house but they seem to have closed up and sold of their equipment.

Who else works for GNC round here then?

I'm thinking I should start at least start reading D&S now I've got this job, training starts monday.

Kabuki does, I have it in my head that Revok works in one or a sporting goods store of some sort, and I could have sworn we had some more running around in D&S. When I'm bored out of my skull at work later this week I'll review old posts and get back to you with an actual count. :)

Still babying the knee day

Overhead press:
20 (44) x10
50 (110) x5
60 (132) x5
70 (155) x3
80 (176)
60 (132) x8
Everything before 80 was pretty much speed reps meant to go for more on the 80 set, but it just felt massively heavier than anything before.

Good Mornings:
20 (44) x10
40 (88) x10
50 (110) x10
60 (132) x10
70 (155) x10
Still getting a feel for these again, didn't push it. Using my squat width for foot placement and going down to a little before parallel to the floor.

Cable rows:
50 (110) x5
70 (155) x3x5
Lats still sore and stiff as fuck, so had to go very light.

DB Bench:
20 (44) x5
30 (66) x5
40 (88) x3x5
Back extensions:
BW x3x20 static holds at top of each rep
Played with hamstring curl machine

I've realised that I can probably do cable pull-throughs on the seated row station, should be good for some puzzled looks. Always wanted to try those.
