Thanks guys, anyone who is considering competing in powerlifting should really step up and give it a try, can't reccomend it enough.
the singlet does make your ass look smaller
*sighs with relief*

Yeah i saw those and i would def get those kind over the other belts. They do have a new snap belt but its like $140 dollars.

Press day

Back to my old three day squat/press/pull split.

Paused bench:
20 (44) x10
50 (110) x3
70 (154) x3
100 (220) x3
105 (231) x3x3
DB Bench (low as possible and paused)
20s (44s) x8
32.5s (71s) x3x8
WTF? These should not be so hard, they were absolutely kicking my arse, I think I may have found a great way to target my wweakness on bench.

JM Presses:
30 (66) x8
40 (88) x3x8
One arm DB rows:
45 (99) x3x5
Hang leg raises (pause at parallel then feet to bar):
3x5
Some gripperage, scap work, rotator cuff stuff and stretching.

Dude, your powerlifting video is kickass. Was that in the under 181 division? Nice unitard by the way. The church needs to make powerlifting unitards...

Thanks, the problem is that a lot of federations have strict rules on which designs are allowed, generally they make everything that is'nt a major PL brand illegal to avoid arguments (so Inzer, Titan Metal etc. are fine but you might get some trouble from using a Wilhelm's logo).
saint wilhelms thongs...thats hot.......
Only for hot female members.

The one i want to compete in is NASA and you can have any logo you want as long as its not a cuss word or something that would probably offend someone.

They take the time off from launching space shuttles to organise PLing comps? Cool.

Damn, I bet I could bench a whole lot more in space...
*deadlifts entire space station for reps*

Funnily enough I spent my morning hearing a very borig lecture on orbital mechanics and how the earth's gravity field being non-uniform causes non equatorial orbits to preceed, still I wok up feeling very refreshed.

No comps in england. my stats are pretty low right now but im training for the meet feb 2008 which just so happens to be 10 min from my house.

they are allowed suits and stuff but then they get categorized into a different section from all of the "raw guys". I saw it this feb and i thought it was pretty cool that everyone seemed to be lifting for themselves than rather trying to outlift other people. The one thing i didnt like is they have a barbell curl comp as well.

also i felt some people got robbed by the judges, oh well.

Actually I meant a list of nearby comps for you, I've already got myself a lifting fed I rather like.

I would'nt bother waiting for a year to enter a comp. not if there's one near you sometime soon. Plenty of people at the comp. I went to had very little experience and fairly low totals (including me), it helps so much to go out there and lift in a competitive atmosphere where everyone is cheering you on to push yourself.

BTW, Smash, how's the weather in England? Just asking because it seems the weather has gone wild all over Europe.

It's been snowing all day, my heating appears to have gone down as well, I'm having to use a space heater at the mo until I can get an electrician.

Up here in Finland it's cold as fuck right now. Yesterday morning when I walked to school, the meter read -37,4 C (apparently -35 F) and this morning about -35 C. I think it has never been this cold in my lifetime.

-37 celsius thats fucking crazy... Thats like deep Siberia crazy..!
