Nothing really weight-lifting related. Books, chocolate, pair of trainers. I'm planning to move back to England next year so I don't really want too much extra stuff at the moment.

Do you do dips in a power rack? I'm going to have to get hold of one when I move back.
Yeah, I just put the safety bars at about chest height and use two barbells (my normal one and an old 5ft one) on top of them.

Woo, over 400 posts. Will seem like a real shame when this gets shut down in the summer.

pffft... chump change.
400 posts without random gheyness pervading through the whole log and me needing to post in a different colour so that I can actually find my training.

I'm off to the Army in September, so I'll have to stop lifting and concentrate on running and BW exercises. Once I've finished the training course I intend to go back to MA and PLing.

Bastard. My plan was to test squats one final time on the 31st and pull out a come from behind victory. Your PR today is going to make that a bitch to do.

Whats your total now?

ah.......when do you graduate?

For some reason I thought you meant the training logs were being deleted

Army you say? why not the RAF? I've met some of the coolest people in my life that were part of the RAF and Brittish Army.

364/286/419=1069

Good luck with the Squat PR attempt, I'm going to start a new run through of the 5x5 on monday and hope to be ready for a comp. in early Feb, so I won't be putting up any new PRs on squats or bench til then.

June, damn, I've enjoyed being here but I'll be happy to see the back of this place. Can't imagine how some people stick around for a phd.

I just prefer the army, spent my teen years in the Army cadets (scouts with assault rifles) and loved the idea of doing it for a living for a while at least. I'm joining the REME (chunk of the army that fixes mechanical and electrical stuff), looking forward to being taught how to shout "tally ho, follow me then chaps" before leading a cavalry charge. At least I think that's what army officers do.

It is pretty annoying.

It's almost as if Smashiums wants to appear rebelious in using kgs, but doesn't want to risk someone mistaking him for week,, hence the lbs.

Commit to a system you damn dirty politician!

weak'

bloody colonies trying to tell us how to run things

*shakes fist*

*makes mental note to include lbs from now on*

I think in lbs but lift in kilos.

If you think that's confusing try thinking about very small distances in mm, small distances in inches, medium distances in metres and then long distances in miles. Gets very bloody confusing and I have no idea why I do it.

BTW - Is it just me or does Smashums sound like a sugar frosted breakfast cereal?
