I had no idea. And I definitely did not acquire a PDF of the issue she was in through a file-sharing mechanism in violation of the copyright of Playboy Inc.. Likewise, I did not acquire the issue with Rachelle Leah through the same mechanism. As that would be illegal.
 
The final LP programme

Okay, I am done with Smolov Jr, so it is back onto an SS-style LP. I will stick to this until LP gives me no more gains on my squat. I'll then change to Madcow, possibly after Smolov Jr for squats.

Here's the programme:


Manliness Day
Squat 3x5 (+ back-off)
Bench 3x5 (+ back-off)
Deathlift 1x5
Optional assistance: 3x10 barbell hip thrusts


Awesomeness Day
Squat 3x5 (+ back-off)
Overhead press 3x5 (+bonus work)
Bent-Over Row 3x5
Optional assistance: 3x10 weighted dips


- Will add 1kg per time to everything except deathlift, which will be 2kg per time
- Starting weights will be squat 96kg, bench 80kg (after testing my max), OHP 51kg, DL 142kg, BOR 71kg
- Backoff sets for squat and bench will usually be 1x10 at 70% of the workset weight,
- Bonus work for press will either be a few push presses with a slightly heavier weight than I was just doing, or 1x10 on Z-press
- Assistance is optional- if I have a lot of energy I will do them otherwise not. I was doing weighted chins before, but I don't feel the need if I am doing BORs, and this makes space for barbell hip thrusts, which I think will help my DL and squat a lot
- Workout days will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Warmup 2 minutes on the C2 rower
Squats 96kg x5, x5, x5; 70kg x10
OHP 51kg x5, x5, x5
Bent-Over Row 72kg x5, x5, x5
Weighted dips +8kg x8, x8, x8

Notes:

- Took videos for two sets of the squats, depth was okay. Not much to report here.
- OHP was hard! It has been 6 weeks since I was doing 3x5 (got to 56kg) before various things knocked me off course, and the lack of practice showed. I sort of wandered if having just done Smolov Jr for bench would make OHP at that weight a breeze. And it didn't.
- Bent-over rows were fine
- Set the weight on the dips back a bit because I haven't done them for a long time (also about 6 weeks) and it was a good idea, because by 8 reps it was getting hard.

Ouch! Bit of DOMS today from the squats and the dips. Strangely, I didn't feel it when I woke up- it wasn't until I'd been working at my desk for a few hours that I became quite stiff and a little sore.

Anyway, to keep LiteringAnd happy andcontinue my theme of racial equality in eye candy, I'm going to re-post a pic I put in Calvus's log. Because this one is too good to post only once.

Warmup Yoga- Sun Salutation Bx3
Squats 97kg x5, x5, x5
Bench 80kgx3, 83kgx1, 85kgx1, 87kgx1, 89kgx1 (+1PR), 90kgx1 (+2PR), 92kgx1 (+4PR), 93kgx1 (+5PR)
Deadlift 142kg (+2kg 5RM PR)

Notes
- Managed to get sun salutation B in as the warmup; need to do this every time, and make it 5 sets; let the C2 be an added extra.
- Squats were a bit hard. First couple in every set are fine and then I start tiring. Took videos, the form reflected this. Didn't do any extra work as I didn't really feel recovered from Monday.
- Bench was re-testing my max after Smolov Jr. Got a +5kg PR. I still had a bit left in the tank, maybe 3kg if I was going all out, but when I tested it last time I also had something left in the tank. Perhaps not quite as much. Who knows. So, anyway, I gain a minimum of 11lbs on my bench, probably a wee bit more.
- Deadlift. These were tiring. Weight went up fine, just work capacity. Still, +2kg on my 5RM.
- Too tired to do any extra work.

It's actually 3 weeks. And it seems that some people get 20lbs on their bench doing Smolov Jr. I wouldn't be surprised if you did as you would seem to be a strong bencher, while for me every few pounds is a battle.
