Television Stranger Things 4 (New Trailer)

Finally finished it and it doesn’t have the same charm, freshness or magic as the first season. They also did Eddie dirty and the writing regarding what happened to him was so stupid.

I know it’s definitely not a popular opinion but I actually enjoyed seasons 3 and 4 more than 1 and 2 overall. For me, the season 4 stuff with Harbour, Ryder, etc dragged quite a bit, even with some good spots. But the stuff with Dustin, Lucas, Max, Steve, Nancy, Robin learning about Vecna and trying to help Eddie was some of the more compelling stuff I’ve seen on the series. As an 80s horror fan, I appreciated the Krueger allusions too.

Eleven’s story arc might have been a bit redundant at times but I thought it built really nicely to the end of episode 7 which was quite intense and episode 9 where you got the face off between her and Vecna.

At the end of the day, it got me amped for the final season. Too bad it’s a couple of years away.

I tried watching last night . I dont remember or really understand it anymore , the kids are adults , it just seems dumb now. Only thing I still like is the 80s nostalgia as I was same age as those kids in early mid 80s.

Watched S5E1 this morning. I was going full Jim Ross when Lucas is visiting Max in the hospital and put that tape in the boombox. "Don't do it, for the love of god I don't wanna hear that damn song again! Damn you! Damn your soul to Hell! You son of a bitch!"

Well it was originally supposed to be an anthology series with all new characters and (probably) all new actors every season.
Just like the S2 episode when 11 went to Chicago and met her "sister" was supposed to lead to a spinoff but I guess everyone hated that episode.
I don't understand how they were able to build that base and lab (where Linda Hamilton's character is) in the middle of the Upside Down.

Wouldn't have worked as a anthology series. They just needed to crank out new seasons every year and they went years between seasons. You cant do that with a young cast theres a shelf life .

Ya, I’m sure they’ll try to make a spinoff with the new Holly character next.

I have zero interest in this world though. Im hardly even interested in this season, just watching at this point because I already sunk time into the previous seasons.

Apart from Steve and Robin, the rest of the cast looks like it aged out. You are absolutely right about Nancy - she looks haggard (although I suppose an impending Apocalypse can do that to a person).

Nope just the first 4 released on the 24th then the next 3 release on Christmas Day then the final will be released on the 31st. I think is fucking stupid

Watched the episodes on release. Pretty solid all around and looks like theyre moving towards an end game. No idea what people actually expected if they come out disappointed.

I stopped after season one. I'm considering going back to it but the reviews aren't too encouraging. I feel like I started this show in another life; maybe if they didn't drag it out so much or wait so long in-between seasons.
