Television Stranger Things 4 (New Trailer)

I think this season is outstanding. Better than 2 or 3, but can't be better than the 1st because it was just so unique. The major Nightmare on Elm Street themes are great. I really enjoy the monster, he is fuckin nasty and also a huge douche.
And can I just say that the dynamic between Steve and Dustin is one of the best things to have ever existed.

He looks like a cross between Swamp Thing and Red Skull, but his MO and Powers seem to reference Freddy Kruger and Pennywise.

He has freaky strong RDJ vibes going on. I can't stop thinking about it when he's on screen. And the dude is British, too, which makes it somehow even more impressive.

He even has some similar mannerisms.. I legit looked up to see if he (RDJ) had kids that were acting now when I noticed it.

Do you guys recommend I watch this or pick up a different series? I just finished Ozark. Plan to watch Season 3 of The Boys when it comes out, but after that I'm debating if I should just go back to watching anime or pick up a new series.

Wow is all I can say about the new season. I'm glad I did a re-watch prior to the new season starting to get me reinvested into the show again after 3 damn years and I recommend anyone else to do the same if you really want to experience easily the best season of the series the right way. Even though there was 5-6 different story lines going, none of them were boring. And the mother of all twists to end the half season was one of the best cliffhangers I've ever seen and not something I would have ever guessed in a million years. The first episode will leave you scratching your head as to how and why a new upside down creature is killing people but while its not all explained by the end, it will make a lot more sense at the end of episode 7 and I assume it will be fleshed out more in the next 6 episodes.

Only downside is the music was a huge step down from prior seasons. 1986 had a ton of hits and nothing. Story wise, 10/10.

Thanks maybe I'll check it out. I heard episode 9 is going to be 2 hours and 30 minutes. That's nuts

Assume this will be explained in the next two episodes or the final season but really curious as to why 001/Vecna spent 7 years just hanging out in the upside down before he started going on a killing spree. If he was the one who created the upside down world when Eleven created the opening why has he not attacked sooner knowing Eleven was putting down other monsters and battling the mind slayer?

You think the twist that Eleven was the one who created the upside down was lame?
I dont think she really created it with that event. If the mind flayer is the ruler, and ol boy the general. That leads me to believe he came into something pre established

So your theory is that it always existed and that she is just the one who ripped open the fabric of the two realities? The twist seems way bigger to me if she's the one who actually created the upside down and is as a result innocently the cause of all the mayhem and death that has occurred ever since. We think the mind flayer is who rules the world there but what if it is just a product of Vecnas mind and maybe thats why he remained dormant until it got slapped around by some kids a couple of times.

Mind Flayer was already there, and my guess is it captured 001. Defeating the Mind Flayer set 001 free. Also, you can see in the finale teaser that the Russians captured at least a part of the Mind Flayer, which also explains how the Demogorgon in Russia is still alive. Mind Flayer is going to get free again after all this imo.

Interesting.

There were some things about this season I loved. There were other things I didnt like much.

the show still has this ability to pull new likeable and hateable characters out of their ass. I also like the slow burn aspect to how the season is playing out and its mystery/detective elements are perhaps best yet because they've grown as characters and as a mystery team. I thought while at times predictable it was able to throw in some cool twists off the beat so to speak that were cool.

I'm not sure how I feel about the Nancy and Steve thing. Its just build up to drama that we've seen before. And it's most likely going to build up to a Jon seeing Nancy kiss Steve moment as a switch around of the big season 1 moment.

Also I feel like Will has become pretty useless as a character now and he has pretty much nothing to do. In fact there was much less focus on that whole Jon/Mike/Will crew which seemed sidelined. I hope they even it out in the next part of the season.

Overall though I think it is another solid season and the ending of episode 7 had me wanting more. However I do think the widening character range is starting to thin out the characters themselves.

Finished it last night and really enjoyed the darker turn this season has. It was probably my favorite next to the first.

Finished it last night and gonna rewatch it today. I liked the twist

I've rewatched the whole thing over again already

The guy with the long hair is a terrible actor

Wierd that will, Mike and Jonathan have been basically turfed this season. Will surely could have something going on.

Nancy wheeler is gorgeous, easy to watch.

Loved this season, the music the clothes, the themes, the monster.

Just great all round
