Television Stranger Things 4 (New Trailer)

I do like that the new headbanger dude, he reminds of every single stoner I went to school with (mid 90's). I cannot, for the life of me, see how anyone can compare him to Robert Downey Jr. I just don't see it.

Good season overall though. Reminded me of Hellraiser a bit.

I saw the twist coming about four episodes back. It was obvious that Creel's son was responsible for the deaths of his wife and daughter, and that the creepy orderly was 001. Simple extrapolation of the kid's age allowed me to figure out the orderly was simply a grown up version.

I didn't like Nancy suddenly being targeted by Vecna seemingly out of the blue. She hadn't experienced any of the symptoms his other victims had. There was no mention of her suffering from headaches, nightmares, visions etc. Although I suppose you could hand-wave it by saying it was easier for him to target Nancy when she was already in the Upside Down.

It doesn't appear that Vecna is working for the Mind Flyer; he has his own agenda. I'm glad of that, because after three seasons, we needed a fresh new Big Bad.

The Demogorgan killing the Russians was cool.

Overall, I enjoyed this more than seasons 2 and 3. Looking forward to the last two episodes.

I didn't pick up on 001 being Creels son but I did figure out he was 001 before he revealed himself. Vecna seems to have the same powers as not just eleven but also eight as well. Eight had the ability to manipulate peoples minds and even make herself invisible to others (which is how I assume she escaped the lab) so my theory is that the mind flayer may not even know Vecna is even operating in the upside down. Either that or if the upside down was created by eleven then the mind flayer would simply be an extension of Vecna. We know the upside down up until Vecna popped up have all operated under a hive mindset so it has to play out one of those two ways in my opinion.

Elevens boyfriend is probably the worst child actor I've ever had to watch. He's so terrible I've forgotten the characters name. And I wish they'd kill Will off, but I'm guessing Will and 11s boy are going to hook up.

Weird I thought season two was ok but three was awful. Never finished it.

I don't think Eleven created the Upside Down. More likely it's always been there, and Eleven pushing her powers to the max to defeat One, caused the first Gate to appear.

2 episodes in and its pretty solid.

They definitely made Will have a gay vibe for Mike.

Also these kids fought other worldly monsters and they can't handle a few bullies? WTF?

Also I want a Hellfire Club shirt

I'm all caught up!

Gotta hand it to the writers of this show. After the last season I really didn't expect much from this and tbh I'm blown away. Best season yet possibly

Really good season, some awful horror elements added that were done just to be classified as 'horror'...

I love how the finale recontextualises the beginning of the whole story. Really well done. They had really thought out the plot points for this season but you can tell some of the writing is awful at points.

Dont like how theye making Mike out to be a little gay, imo setting up a future love triangle for no reason and adds nothing to the characters or the story.

Best season since the first season.

LMAO at the dude with the bowl cut. It’s hilarious that they try to keep the cast looking like kids.

Show is fantastic. Still genuinely a candidate for best show on TV, and that's with most of the power its nostalgia-driven style worn off. Goes to show you that it's not a gimmick. The people running the show are total pros.

Joseph Quinn was sensational as Eddie Munson. I looked him up, and of course he's British. Of course.

Excellent season so far, would rate it as the best season unless they mess up the season ending.

Liking all the stories/groups branching off yet connected even the russian arc. Should lead to a cool climax when everyone meets up again.

Wow just wow my guy... they just started highschool? They still are kids. You want them portrayed as grown ass people?

The dude is 18 years old. I understand the character just started high school but a bowl cut at that age just doesn’t happen. It’s hilarious.

kids in the mid 80s definitely had bowl cuts in high school. You do realize the show is set 40 years ago right?

Whole season was giving off nightmare on elm street vibes….

Then when Robert Englund turned up it made sense….
Same, it almost seem like a blatant rip of nightmare on elm street then he showed up haha

So far I think season 4 has been the best since season 1. The 11 story line was pretty boring until the 7th episode though.

Awesome so far, just two nitpicking issues I have with it:

1) Way to much exposition at the end, they don't respect the intelligence of their audience. Are there people who didn't "get it" until they zoomed in on the creatures wrist?
2) Eddies watch stopped when it got wet... but the watch is clearly a g-shock water-resistant to 200m down, and it's a digital watch which wouldn't display the time if water damaged it.
3) A lightbright has only one bulb, so how exactly were they causing the individual plastic pieces to light up?
