If you read the New Testament epistles you’ll see that the early church had all sorts of problems stemming from the fact that it was made up of converts from other religions who brought preconceived ideas with them, people from differing nationalities and very different social standings.

I’d wager they obeyed some teachings far better than us (hard to imagine them being more greedy and ungrateful as someone like myself), and others probably less well.

For real though man, you haven't convincingly (or even unconvincingly) supported your hypothesis that Pilate wrote about Jesus, with the writings being preserved and later destroyed to hide the truth. Also, the Jesus myth came on the scene far earlier than you suppose, I believe.

Like I said before, it's an interesting idea and I would be interested in exploring it, it's just there isn't support for it.

Your opinions on the topic of the OP are uninteresting because you are an agnostic. You are on the fence about supernatural claims, you can't claim anything negative or positive about the supernatural stories revolving around Jesus. You have nothing interesting to say other than that you don't know and hold no positive view and that the idea of eternal nonexistence terrifies you. What's the point of discussing this with you then?

Because it is entertaining to see you getting ridiculed by everyone.

You refuse to state your views and command everyone to do their work and go back sifting through hundreds of posts to find yours and to infer all your views without you having to state them, as if this were a book written in the geometric style. We all see through your BS. You are an insecure agnostic scared of knowing. You are scared of laying out your views because you will have to commit to a view. It's as if your mind's defence mechanism is protecting you from psychological harm. You already admitted that eternal nonexistence terrifies you. No surprise then that your mind is protecting you from the further torment if happens that naturalism is the reasonable view to hold.

Because I have stated them. I shouldn't have to repeat myself over and over in plain English while you read things into it, like you for example. This entire post is once again proof of that. It's again why you're still here. Because you're butt hurt and can't stop projecting views on me that I don't hold, so you can attack them. You've done it over and over and over again, both in this post and in this thread, while openly lying about doing it, in really lazy and childish way. What is it I'm scared of "knowing"?

Everyone in this thread who has interacted with you has asked you simple questions which you have refused to answer and you have accused everyone of misrepresenting your position. Somehow this is everyone's fault but yours. All of your posts have been vague and unclear hence why people are asking you to state your position. The principle of charity requires one to represent arguments in their strongest and most accurate form. If you refuse to hep them in this then you cannot blame them if they misrepresent you; you refuse to be a good person.

If you are here it is because you want to discuss with others yet you refuse to engage with them in a virtuous and civil manner and uphold the principle of charity. A decent and charitable person wouldn't mind restating his position clearly when invited to do so especially when there are hundreds of posts.

I am not projecting views, I am just stating what is obvious to everyone. You refuse to state your position in an unambiguous way, you refuse to answer questions directly and you accuse everyone of projecting and misrepresenting your position. You are clearly insecure.
 
But all of this is unimportant and not worth our time. It seems like people were interested in your views, which you refused to state clearly. People wanted to engage in a discussion of what they perceived to be interesting, but you refused to engage charitably. Then we find out that you are terrified of the idea of eternal nonexistence and that you are an agnostic who doesn't know the difference between the strong and weak versions of agnosticism. You are a waste of time.
