Story of Jesus Christ was 'fabricated to pacify the poor', claims Biblical scholar Joseph Atwill

Exactly what I predicted, you wouldn't dispute my diagnosis and explanation of your behaviour, instead you would just call me stupid.

It's amazing how stupid you are. Here, make this post make sense, see if you can do it on the second try.

Just a guess, but there's a late 1st/early 2nd century document that mention something Pilate wrote, but no modern scholars have ever seen the Pilate letter

You responded with this:

That is not true accordion to @lfd0311. There is evidence, you just have to read his posts.

See if you can figure out why you're stupid and can't read, and why I'm making fun of you. See if any of your cohorts can help you, because you're obviously lost and have to hold your hand. But then again, none of them can read either and I have to hold the hands of a bunch of grown adults to help them understand simple, written words.

Here, I'll clear it up a little bit, since my original post was somewhat unclear. I didn't mean that there was actual documentation of a single group of monk's journey to a specific monastery in modern Switzerland. That was poor wording on my part. What they do know is that during this time period, the foundation of Western religious (non Greek) was in what is now Switerland, within the Holy Roman Empire. From there, as I said, the answers your looking for are in his name.
What is the evidence that Pilate wrote letters about Jesus?

What is the evidence the letters survived?

What is the evidence they were taken to wherever you want to say they were taken?

What is the evidence they were destroyed to cover up something about Pilate?

What is the evidence the Jesus myth was fabricated there?

I told you I'm not doing the work for you. I've told you how to find, if you want to know, look. It's shockingly easy information to gather. You're an expert, obviously of the highest levels of intellect. I shouldn't have to hold your hand. "No bible scholars that you know of" would have ever heard of what I'm talking about. Even though it's commonly accepted in that field and it's there work I'm citing. Once again, you not being informed doesn't make me ignorant or stupid, and I'm not here to hold your hand so you can talk down to me. If you want to know, simply look and learn.

I don't think you understood what I said there... and it wasn't in response to that post.

But I see what you are doing. I knew you would.

You mean there as in over there or there as in there stuff?

It's your beliefs that make you ignorant and stupid.

I mean.... Considering you quoted it, then responded to it with just what I posted, that's pretty impressive. His post is post 563 in this thread, yours is post 566. Tell better lies.

What do have to be embarrassed about? Response only please. Responses, only. Please
Name one scholar who holds your views.

I won't hold my breath because there are none.

The order was a coincidence. The post was about something else.

All of them. Except the ones who don't believe Jesus was a real person. Your concession is accepted.

I really hope your'e just trying to troll at this point, because if not you're every bit as stupid as previously proven.

EDIT: I'll leave my typo in there so you have some little victory to win

Incorrect. I'm positive that many biblical scholars are aware that people have made claims that Pilate wrote about Jesus. I said I'm not aware of any legit biblical scholars claiming it to be true that Pilate wrote about Jesus. If you are aware of any reputable scholars who make a good case for that, I would be interested. It's crank territory as far as I know, but it's also a possibility since Pilate appears to have been a real person who was in the area at about the right time.

You are making way too many assumptions about my perceived "expertise" here. I think you're just intimidated and embarrassed. I'm not an expert and I have an open mind, but you're going to have to provide evidence for your claims here. You are not representing consensus views of experts.

One person who has fringe views that I respect is Richard Carrier. He's far from the mainstream on the historicity of Jesus and backs up his positions very well. I'm open to good work if you're able to show it. Who are the scholars who represent your theory? What are their names, and where have they written these ideas?

I mean your stupid views which you refuse to articulate here, the ones that Fawlty is asking you to substantiate.

Give us a name.
