Economy stonks v10, elections go up. or down. or flat.

Bros IM TELLING YOU; SEMICONDUCTORS ARE THE FUTURE. INTEL WILL BE A LEADING CHIPMAKER FOR ALL OF THE 2000S AND 2010S AND MAKE INSANE PROFITS. JUST WATCH. THE PENTIUMS IS JUST THE START. ONCE THE I5 COMES OUT WE COULD BE EASILY QUADRUPLED FROM HERE. ANYONE WHO DARES SHORT THIS STOCK IS A JOKE AND HAS NO IDEA ABOUT TECHNOLOGY .....ANDY GROVE IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME VISIONARY. THEIR TECH IS PROBABLY AT LEAST 5 IF NOT 10 YEARS AHEAD OF THE COMPETITORS WHO ONLY HAVE SINGLE CORE THREADS. Just think once EVERYONE has an Intel chip in their house; there just simply isn't anyone else who even has a fraction of the marketshare. I'm thinking Nadaq to 8000 by the time Duke Nukem comes out next year. Anyways off to NYC for thanksgiving and an Aaliyah concert; maybe stop by the twin towers if the roof deck is open.

LoL ? I get what you trying to say but can you just say it with out the retardation ?

How is tesla not interesting, It'll make Musk the king of Mars or the great bust since the stock market crash. Even musk hater should find their future interesting.

I said nothing in my post that was incorrect besides the projected stock prices, which is exactly my point: something can be awesome and be valued absurdly high based on selling forward decades of dreams to investors. Intel continued making world class chips for 20 years before they could catch up to the stock.
Especially when Tesla equity has no affiliation with SpaceX equity beside Musk signing cross promotional advertising deals to have Tesla cars on launch pads or the cost-sharing arrangement of paying for the private plane he spends most of his time in.

My TSLA stock if I sold today would bag us $70k in profit. That's right. 70 THOUSAND dollars. I'm not hating it. :p

I am expecting a drop in fad stock prices corresponding with start of year profit when people get a clean slate on their capital gains/taxes/income and trim.
% gain is the real analysis you want to be making and keeping an equally weighted portfolio.

(There's some bullshit EV shit I've sold for small gains that would literally have made me a million dollars if I held for the last 12 months from .5 to 30, but I was playing a much different game.)

Meh. If I'd taken your advice a few years ago I wouldn't have 70 grand in profits. I'm good. :p

I mean that's an absolutely atrocious way to analyze growth trajectory of equities, and dollar cost averaging works both buying and selling stocks, but thank you for becoming the character in my above parody while bowdlerizing my prior takes down to a singular piece of "advice" rather than trying to have a candid discussion about what your entry point was, your tax consideration, what led you into the stock, your target price for selling it is, portfolio weighting, what you see as future growth catalysts etc...

But hey, if you wanna thumbnose at me instead and try to imply you're some big brain genius and that I dole out shitty advice or would never hold the stock, here's me ripping off 8k holding the stock for 14 hrs lmao.

You mean in unrealized gains. Shit is up 600% this year. It has the next 25 years (on a very optimistic timeline) priced in at this point. I'd just keep in mind the saying - bulls make money, bears make money, pigs get slaughtered.

Been there with weed stocks, it still hurts.

but we live to paly another day.
Yeah that's the name of the game; not getting zeroed or taking big losses for me; easily the worst time to make clearheaded decisions when stinging from a burn.

Lol. Same old brackis. You were an asshole the last time I ignored your advice too. You'd have cost me 50 grand if I'd listened to you and sold it when you told me to. Fuck off. :p

I mean I asked you some basic questions and you told me to fuck off after coming into a thread you have zero posts in to brag about some profits you made. Cool contribution bro?
Luckily I've made just a teenie little bit more than 70k over the last few years and you'll disappear within a page or two. :p

I keep wondering if/when something like this goes down.
It seems like there is some circular valuation going on in the EV space where future earnings are predicated on global sales (EG Tesla will sell well in China! Nio will come to America!) but I can't figure out if this is all just huffing and puffing and nothing really changes.
Anything real and we get in an ugly trade war, but am skeptical either side of fat rich goofs wants that.

Looks like the next meme stock is GME.

I understand this could be a good retail play for over the Christmas period but looks like WSB think its going to moon lol. Earnings coming up in under two weeks.

I actually like PLTR stock for a long hold but I would need to see 20-23 to buy in.

gme's been a meme stock for months, since before the chwy guy got in.

Damn in hindsight this was a killer reopening/xmas euphoria trade. I might have to play this into earnings.

yeah, i'm debating what to do/if i should make moves or watch. honestly, i'll probably wait to see what the IV is at 9:45 or so and then decide.

i did play them from ~4 to ~7 a few times in the last year or so, though.

the problem with this one is some are just trying to turn wsb into a pump&dump scheme for a stock of the day/week for quick profits and some are truly trying to meme it into a $50+ stock by 2022. so even if you're the latter, the former will likely cause it to crash with the paper hands/dump.

regardless, i'm just worried that wsb's gonna get shut down (or even the sec making some charges) for the pump&dumps. they used to actually be good at somewhat self-policing this shit (ie: the lumber one that could have gotten out of hand [few weeks before "msft 200c," but the pltr shit's been completely out of control

sometimes, there's a fine line between an idea/dd/joke (msft)/people getting on board with the play and securities fraud. but the pltr shit looks way past that.

I've loaded up on GME stocks and long calls and made good money on the run-up

Getting LEAPs next week if there's a good entry

There's a short squeeze brewing, we just have to meme it up the coming week
