Doesn't matter much at this date fortunately nor with the UFCs interest level. I'd like to see it again just no time soon...

4 title defenses, 6 time champ.. now everyone forgets because he got KO’d by Ngannou who he’s 1-1 with.. every media outlet was calling stipe the goat, and that’s how the UFC was promoting him.

He kicked your boy Brocks ass ,Bigfoot, and everyone before that. He was a shell of himself and out for 2 years when he fought werdum. Stipe got his ass kicked by old man DC and Francis sent him into another dimension!

Dana recognises that Stipe was never a great hw. Sure he beat some old fighters but got smoked by old man cormier and could not even finish a gassed ngannou who was dead after round 1 in the first fight.
 
I've never been a big Stipe guy, but it's mad how much disrespect he gets.. I don't want to see the rematch, but if I were a fan I'd see a legit claim in wanting to see the rubber match, should he want to of course, though I don't know when would be best for that to happen.
 
Dana and the UFC always does a poor job promoting fighters, unless there is some kind of controversy involving them. Stipe did his job as champ. He defended title successfully multiple times and never ducked anyone. I’m hoping he can make it back for one more title shot. Maybe he can fight the winner of Gane vs Lewis for the interim interim title, unless Ngannou prices himself back into being champ.

I really like Stipe and having Dana as an enemy is usually a good thing lol. But I really think he should take another fight rather than a title shot. Dana doesn't want to give it to him and he's wasting whats left of his career at this point sitting around. I still think Jones vs Stipe is a great fight but I feel like neither want it.

Also thought Stipe vs Blaydes would've been great had they been able to do Ngannou vs Jones. And Lewis vs Gane is a great fight even if the interim title is silly.

Ngannou vs Jones, Stipe vs Blades and Lewis vs Gane were the fights to make.
