Stipe says dana white does not like him.

If he didn’t, then no heavyweight champion in the history of the sport ever deserved an immediate rematch
Nope. Probably not. He's held up the division long enough. And you have Gane and Lewis right there. He doesn't deserve to skip them in the line be abuse of his past accomplishments. Still needs to earn his shot by taking out a worthy challenger. And the longer he waits, the older he gets.

They are 1-1, and he was the best HW Champ the organization has ever had. He deserves an immediate rematch.
Hahaha @ stipe being the best hw in the ufc ever. He's not even top 3 and title defenses don't make you the best.

Cool story.

“He won’t give me another immediate title shot after I got absolutely destroyed again.”
That's a little harsh. He beat the dude once, a trilogy is in order. Francis is a fake HW champ, just like DC was.
Jones is hiding, Gane isn't ready. There's going to be an interim fight that Stipe isn't part of after setting HW records . I'd be salty too.

Immediate rematches need to stop dragging the divisions.

There is such thing as a non-immediate rematch, for the small minds out there in MMA. And it should be more common than the former.

As inactive as the UFC fighters are these days there is merit to this notion. If they fought more often than every 12-18 months then yeah, rematch, but these guys just aren't active.

Cain Velazquez he would of mopped the floor with stipe.
Cain Velasquez beat Brock to dogshit. Credit there.

But then he got smoked by JDS worse than Francis just beat Stipe.

Then over the next 2 years, Cains “glory years”, he beat 2 guys. JDS and Bigfoot. I give it to you, those 4 beatings were savage as fuck. And I admit, he looked in those fights as the best ever. BUT it was still against just 2 guys.

Then Werdum came in and shut the bodega down.

I think that the best version of Cain fucks up the best version of Stipe. But Stipe proved himself against a much wider range of opponents and styles. And that’s what MMA is about. Being effective against different styles.

Stipe is ahead of Cain. It’s silly to make an argument otherwise.

They've both got their reasons to dislike one another. HW already got in bad shape through Cain's inactivity, and then Stipe's dragged out trilogy with DC made it worse.

It was only dragged out because Dana and DC wasted a year on trying to get Brock to come back.

Stipe fights like once a year and got KO'd to death after taking like 3 years to fight the same guy a bunch of times. Why give him an immediate rematch @ 38 years old against a guy who just knocked him dead?

"Because you can't win, Stipe! This guy will kill ya ta death inside o' three rounds!"--Dana White and Mickey Goldmill

How fuckin incredible would it be if Stipe regains the title, again? He's already the HW GOAT and he gets to overcome for the 2nd time the fearsome freight train that is Ngannou.
Can't help but root for all - around standup guys like Stipe.

Yeah it would be cool, but these guys are so damn inactive.

I admit it was only a few fighters but his freaking injuries real messed his career up big time. Werdum was after a 2 year layoff and Cain never got healthy and end his career way to early. Stipe has I think one more title defense and lost to a old D.C and smoked by Francis.
