Ya I don’t think people realize the impact that filmmakers like him had on the modern favorites.

Scorsese, Kubrick, Speilberg, David Lynch, Wes Anderson, etc. all name Fellini, Bergman, Kurosawa and Ozu as big influences on their careers.
