News Stephan Bonnar passed away (RIP)

RIP
"One of the best stories I ever heard was from Stephan Bonnar. He talked about how he got into a fight and he punched the guy so hard that one of the bones in his hand poked through the skin. A part of his knuckle. He kept trying to push it back in but it wouldn't go back. So he went to the doctor and the doctor told him it was a tooth."
ahhh hahahaha thats some good shit.

Damn, this is horrible. RIP.

My heart breaks reading about this, he was always one of my favourite fighters for both his personality and fighting style, it was very difficult to watch his health decline and to witness his struggles with addiction. He just couldn't find peace after his athletic career, he had so much personality and talent, he really should have had a place in the UFC after his fighting career ended.

This is a harsh reality of fighting, these guys are literally sacrificing their lives. Bonnar may have had CTE which could have fueled his recent behaviour resulting in his physical decline to his death, Bonnar was a huge part of the UFC's success story, I hope they honour him in an upcoming event because the UFC owe a LOT to this man RIP.

OMG, I didnt expect this

RIP Bonnar

Damnit. He was a fave thru his UFC tenure. Guess it was invitable from his state and actions thru the last few years, but very sad nonetheless.

Also, I dunno the correct words, but it's a doubly bummer that UFC seems to be super willing to post a memorial social media post and probably will give him "honours" during an upcoming show, now that he is "conviniently" passed instead of giving the dude a helping hand when he was "inconviniently alive" and rambling insanely on video in a hospital or getting arrested for DUIs... I mean yeah, business is business, but these people - especially what Bonnar was part of and when - really gave the UFC everything, and while personal responsibility IS a big part of the equation, it still feels goddamn cheap to step in now with the memorials after letting the dude essentially self-destruct. Hopefully one of the usual suspects can post a link that shows my cynical thoughts about UFC are wrong and they at least Tried to give Bonnar a hand. I'm just bummed as fuck, really ruined my yuletime mood. Gonna go grab a vodak.

Have a safe trip, Mr. Bonnar! :(

Fuck man... I hope his passing was easy.

I'm soooo fucking grateful for the sacrifices he made to entertain me. Damn man.

I will always remember their fight in TUF, because the next day at work all the guys were talking about it. It was the first influx of stupid fans and it's only gotten worse as time went on. Now MMA is a shell of what it once was.

I saw this last night, didn’t even know what to say because it seemed like getting punched in the gut... RIP Brother Stephen, thank you for the privilege of watching you grow up in the Octagon and the memories of your battles.

enjoy the twilight of combat sports, this shit will be illegal in 30 years

Rest in peace to the man, 45 is way, way too young. War Stephan Bonnar!
