R.I.P. Really interesting guy. Well educated, informed, he led a full life. He moved to Brazil and became fluent in Portuguese. Got a degree at Purdue. Traveled the world, became a fairly successful fighter. Not a great career but certainly good.

45 is far too young, but still, it's not like he died in childhood. He was a mature middle-aged man. Certain choices he made in life for whatever reasons seemed to come back to haunt him. That's why I, as a guy not much younger than he was, am careful about what I put into my body and I try to stay consistent with diet, exercise, schedule, etc.

It's not just the age he died, but he had a very ROUGH last 5 or 6 years where his decline was very apparent. That is a sad story.

Although Bonnar was clearly under the influence in this interview,Its a must see if you are a fan.

He goes into his whole career history.

Good stuff, he speaks well….RIP

What?? This is damn sad, RIP.

ALOT of people are leaving us right now, dafuq is happening? (

I had hoped he'd beat his demons outside of the octagon. Diego Sanchez potentially lost a father and we lost a legendary fighter. RIP

Sad to hear he has passed away. He is a very important piece of history for us mma fans and always seemed like a great guy.

R.I.P

This year has been rough.

RIP to a legend.

RIP
"One of the best stories I ever heard was from Stephan Bonnar. He talked about how he got into a fight and he punched the guy so hard that one of the bones in his hand poked through the skin. A part of his knuckle. He kept trying to push it back in but it wouldn't go back. So he went to the doctor and the doctor told him it was a tooth."

This is sad. Such a harsh year for MMA fighters passing on. Condolences to his family. RIP Bonnar, one of my fav memory is the skit him and Griffin put together before his fight with Anderson
