It's pretty awesome, at least the first two acts (3 parts). It's the closest we've gotten to a Bethesda proper game in a while. It's crazy how many quests you can stumble into just by exploring.
The combat is very Dark Souls-ish, where you have to manage stamina, distance and weight. Once you upgrade your dashes/stamina, zipping around the battlefield is so much fun.
It has a pretty good magic system from what I've heard, but I was mainly melee/two handed sword. The bonk sound/effect from the two handed swords is very gratifying.
It's a bit janky, and you can always feel the lower budget, but the art style is gorgeous at times, (love dark fantasy) exploration is rewarding (some big ass dungeons), and the story is intriguing. There's some solid writing/characters too.
They released a big DLC last month, and a big update. I never finished act 3, as I heard the patch they released was supposed to improve it. I'll get back to it at some point.
It's definitely worth your time and money.
