Games still a 7/10 for me. I don’t got much time to play so I just console command currency and shit. Ain’t got time to loot and sell items over and over
A tip for scanning... I had to look this up because it was pissing me off lol.
If you only have one or two fauna left to scan but can't find it anywhere on the map and it says "Biome complete", land near the cost and search the beach area because the last fauna will most likely be fish -_-
While I was sure Starfield would be GOTY and argued with someone over it beating Baldurs Gate, I have to say I'm rather underwhelmed with it. The story is good. But the universe is just kind of bland.
I haven't gotten to Starfield yet. At this point I've kind of put it in the back burner. To many amazing games coming out. In the middle of BG3 right now though and it's easily my GOTY so far.
At level 19 now. I find myself not even knowing what missions to do next there are so many. Now I'm just collecting materials and completing research projects to I can work on and build shit. I've got a nice sized outpost on Jemison now with a couple recruits there.
I'm interested to see if they add more building structures and items through DLCs or something because compared to the settlement building in Fallout, the outposts are much more limited.
I stopped BG3 a good 10 to 15 hours into Act 3 because of some really annoying bugs and bad performance. Starfield came out at the perfect time.
I've done all the faction quests in SF now, with one held up by a decision I have to make. I'm probably a couple of missions away from the main campaign too.
I've been spending stupid hours building ships and exploring different systems, while stumbling upon numerous random quests/encounters that have been really fun and lengthy.
I haven't finished either of course, but despite the bugs, BG3 is my GOTY winner, even if I score them the same.
@TeTe agreed, Starfield's outposts are really limited. That's probably the only thing I'm really disappointed with.
You can get so creative with ship building, which I love to death, but outposts are super meh. I have a functioning resource harvesting depot, but I really wanted to build some epic colonies.
Fallout 4 out of the box gave you so much more to work with. I only played on the PS4 for the first while, so it wasn't like I had pc mods.
Once Bethesda releases the modding tools, along with some DLC, shit's going to be insanse. I'm glad there's an NG+ mechanic, as I'm tempted to stop playing and leave myself new discoveries once the game is fleshed out even more.
At this point I'd give both Starfield and BG3 a 9 out 10. BG3 would be a 10 if not for the terrible bugs, at least that I've experienced.
I recommend browsing the subreddit, I’ve been learning a ton of shit I don’t know how I would have ever discovered without it.Got the mantis outfit and that Razor whatever ship. Pretty cool. Still have no fucking clue what I'm doing.
It might have been you I was arguing about it with.I haven't gotten to Starfield yet. At this point I've kind of put it in the back burner. To many amazing games coming out. In the middle of BG3 right now though and it's easily my GOTY so far.
Right now I’m just winging it lol definitely recommend the ship perks though. I was stuck on a mission cause my ship was basically untouched, after getting the shield and energy weapons upgrades (perks?), absolutely melted the enemy ships.Anyone getting good at ship building?
I just got a good class A ship
Are the B, C, D ships better than As?

Yea the patch this Thursday is expected to bring act 3 to the levels they want apparently. I’ve heard mixed things some people having tons of issues some none or very little. Rebooting apparently helps. I just got to act 3 and won’t have much time to play this week.

Thanks, that's great news. My biggest issue were enemy NPC's doing nothing in battle. Usually, if not always, I had one just one do nothing for its turn. The bigger the battle, the more NPC's doing nothing. It could take a couple of minutes of them doing nothing before their turn ended. It saved me in one encounter, but made fighting a slog.
What ship did you get?
It really comes down to individual components and want you want to do with your ship. Class C parts aren't necessarily better, but usually heavier. It's a constant balancing act between maneuverability, firepower, cargo and your design choice etc...
There's a stellar class A ship you can get for free doing the Free Star quest line (Star Eagle). That carried me through the first 1/3 of my playtime, but you can easily can finish the game's main campaign and faction quests with it, depending on how much of a hoarder you are.
You'll need to upgrade the grav drive and at least the shield if you want to go to higher difficulty areas though, and that will likely require leveling up two skills, piloting and starship design (leveling targeting at least one slot is a must too).
A lot of really cool random stuff happens in those areas, and there's plenty of XP to be had, so it's worth it.
I have a really good handle on ship building now, but you need those aforementioned skills if you want to make your ship better than the Star Eagle. It took me a while to make a ship that could move similarly, while carrying more.
There are lots of helpful guides online. This is the one I uses when i started looking into it.
