I can't wait to watch this shit tonight
I laughed pretty hard throughout
That's a very strange comment for me... as my point was that he actually died. So u telling me that Johnson intended for this to be his death, is like you telling me exactly what I said.I think its pretty obvious Johnson intended for this to be his death. However, I dont think that means Abrams cant retcon it somehow. Johnsons certainly burned....well....pretty much 100% of Abrams' set ups. Not like Abrams cant do the same thing.
The point he's making is that since Johnson "burned" Abrams' plot devices, Abrams could return the favor by resurrecting Luke. It's the notion that TLJ doesn't honor TFA, but that's a mistaken notion. That's a very strange comment for me... as my point was that he actually died. What I was expanding on is that "now that Luke's dead"... he's a force ghost... & the new comic pretty much confirms that imo.
I think the ridiculous commentary that those two directors are rogue agents allowed to do whatever they want while Disney micromanaged solo to death is a shout out to how delusional the resistance has gotten. The point he's making is that since Johnson "burned" Abrams' plot devices, Abrams could return the favor by resurrecting Luke. I am agreeing with you. What Im saying is that establishing something doesnt mean it cant be changed. If Abrams comes along and says he teleported away, the fact that "died" wouldnt matter.
Its like JR coming out of the shower on Dallas.
Wait, too old?
its like any comic book death. Yes, they may have "died" but that was until someone else came along and said they were actually teleported away onto a skrull spaceship and a fake body was buried in their coffin.
It has nothing to do with retaliation and just possibility. Myrrddin is saying that since he dies he must remain dead and Im pointing out that thats not accurate.
Thanx for the commentary. Very true that we've seen this many timez. (understatement)I am agreeing with you. What Im saying is that establishing something doesnt mean it cant be changed. If Abrams comes along and says he teleported away, the fact that "died" wouldnt matter.

But Rey & Leia both saying "luke is gone... I felt it..." & then even after 8 months have past... & all this time after the movie... they reinforce it again with that comic.
To your point, I wouldn't "completely" count it out... but since it's been confirmed in the movie, & then double confirmed 8 months later in hind site... I think it's pretty safe to say Luke's dead. I'll give you 10% chance they pull some BS on Luke coming back but I really feel like that's even too high.
8 months of hindsite & reaffirming Luke's dead is pretty telling. Especially after all the backlash they're getting from that casualz that didn't realize maul has been alive for over a decade.
Never seent it, personally.
