RT audience score for Across the Spider-Verse are in and it's at 97% approval rating.
Saw it tonight. Dope movie just like the first one
Movie is just great. The intro was a nice change up and I’m glad Gwen got more screen time
Miles Morales could be the best Spider-Man to date. They really are doing a great job with his character development
Ik some folks are going to have an issue with the “diversity” of the Spider cast but it make’s perfect sense and the characters are pretty solid especially Spider Punk
9.5/10
Just make a good movie and no one will care about diversity, at least not anyone who matters. The issue only arises when that's what a movie relies on to sell itself.
somehow managed to surpass my already sky-high expectations. it was lighter on the comedy, & carried a more serious/darker tone throughout in general, but it only made the moments of levity land better for me.
fwiw, i thought the ending was perfect.
Same here
I actually gave a small grin at the ending
It pulled off being an " Empire Strikes Back " ish sequel. Difference is Beyond The Spider-Verse should end up being a Better Finale than ROTJ was for its trilogy
Yep
Gotta put it up there with Empire, The Two Towers, X Men United, Spider Man 2 and The Dark Knight as far as great second films in a potential trilogy films go.
Hope Beyond the Spiderverse goes out on a Return of the King type of finish.
ftfyWell Spider-Man Noir returns so 3rd Film being excellent is a given

Knew movie would suck. Quick cash grab sequel. The first one i didnt finish it was so awful. The absolute worst ending of all damn time. I can’t believe I sat through a 2 hour+ movie just for them to give me that ending. 2/10
I believe the decision to split the second movie into two parts only delayed Across the Spider-Verse for 8 months. It was set to open on October 2022 and then moved to June 2023.I was curious why it took 5 years for Sony to make a sequel. Now we know why.
They weren't making one movie.
They were making two.
