U never cut weight have you?So since Usman walks around at 200ish, you say Khamzat cut down from 220? He has fought at 170 for what, 10 times while Usman is massive WW too.
Also you only have so much time to rehydrate, they were probably within 5lbs. You are just a hater
Ok so first reason he lost os because bad knees that is why he was dominated in first round then 2nd excuse is 2 week only notice and now is he lost energy by cutting weight.i mean guy LOST I do not think usman came to ring thinking he will loose he thought he would win he could do it in 2 week notice he could not so maybe he should more humble and not take a fightU never cut weight have you?
Khamzat has showed that while his grappling is powerful, he can't spam takedowns for multiple rounds like Merab or Colby. He slows down when extended. Maybe this will improve, maybe it won't. I'm just going by what we've seen.I don't think you're approaching that fight the right way
Holding and keeping usman down is a completely different animal than Costa.
If you have a full camp to train for Usman, you're preparing for a grueling fight.
Getting that kind of opponent change on short notice is a huge deal. I think his tank would've held up fine, had he actually prepared for Usman.
When you know you're preparing for a 5 round fight, then you train to pace yourself as well.
He did burn an absurd amount of energy in the first though, even just holding the body triangle.
If Usman was given 6 months to adapt to the weight increase, he would have won in my opinion. I was shocked, I think Khamzat would get him out of there in the first.Seeing a great wrestler like Usman literally rag dolled in the 1st was crazy.
do u really believe fighters like usman and volk only trainShort notice opponent is a big deal when it comes to conditioning.
Especially when it comes to fighting a grinder like usman.
Usman was beating Leon, that's not debatable. Leon himself though would not be considered champion caliber in any other period of WW. Usman came in under the weight limit, and visibly smaller than khamzat. He had a fight scheduled in December, but that was a ways out. He wouldn't have even been in a proper fight camp yet. Short notice is a fact, usman is a 170, he is 36 and has bad knees. He was piecing up khamzat on the feet, and while I didn't agree with it, one judge even scored the fight a draw. The only round that was a blowout was the first.Usman would literally still be champ right now if a lucky head kick didn’t land in the final minute. He was beating Leon with ease. The short notice excuse is bullshit, Usman was in shape and preparing for a fight in December. Why are people even acting like that fight was close? Usman was humiliated on the ground and landed a few decent jabs the entire fight, he never pieced up anyone.
the knees excuse has been the same for 5 years and he’s not even smaller than khamzat, both walk around at 205lbs
Uh... both?? Like, he can have bad knees and also took the fight on short notice.Lol but he lost and nobody is talking about his knees but he had only 2 week notice so what is it usman apologist his knees or 2 week notice fight
He will be a dominant champ as long as they protect him from certain matchups, it seems. He should be our next MW champ though, as Sean doesn't have the grappling to beat him, and both of them seem to know that.Usman is over the hill at this point, with two shot knees. He is also smaller and was coming in on short notice. The fact that khamzat didn't finish him, and then proceeded to get pieced up a bit in the third, tells me the jury is still out on him. Don't get me wrong, he's clearly talented, but I'm not sure he's got what it takes to be a dominant champ. He could probably beat strickland though, tbh.
do u really believe fighters like usman and volk only train
when they have a fight scheduled?
these guys train all year around
lol
I agree. A solid defensive Grappler, one who can outlast him, looks to be his kryptonite. Honestly though, I don't know off the top of my head who that could be.He will be a dominant champ as long as they protect him from certain matchups, it seems. Lol so why did he took a fight obviously he thought his knees are ok his cardio is ok and he confidently 100% believed he would win so if he believed he could win whybare you saying he could not on 2 week notice. And in last round he was so slow that his punches were hitting air because khazmat had so much time to get out of the wayUh... both?? Like, he can have bad knees and also took the fight on short notice.
He's had bad knees for years. That's why he doesn't shoot anymore. It's not an injury, just a lifetime of wear and tear. And you're a fool if you think he went in there because he was 100% confident. He went in because he got a fat fucking paycheck for it, like most short notice fights. I've got nothing for you on him "punching air", you're just blind as a bat.Lol so why did he took a fight obviously he thought his knees are ok his cardio is ok and he confidently 100% believed he would win so if he believed he could win whybare you saying he could not on 2 week notice. Or even a capable defensive grappler with more powerful hands than Usman and more forward pressure - Rob, Cannonier, DDP, and even Viettori all have decent chances - some better than others. Vettori probably outlasts him doing the exact same thing he does, just for longer. Rob probably KO's him. Cannonier has a good chance to KO him as well. I can see him beating 1 of them. Maybe even 2. But I don't think he beats all 4.I agree. A solid defensive Grappler, one who can outlast him, looks to be his kryptonite. Honestly though, I don't know off the top of my head who that could be.
My God excuses after excuse then why did he took a fight if he knew he would loose he was confident he was ready and he would win be he understaminate khamzat and over estimated his abilityUsman was beating Leon, that's not debatable. So the UFC just has to make sure he never faces more than 2 of them and it might work out for them.
So, just to get it on record, you're claiming that at 170, with a full camp for both men, there's no chance that fight would have played out a little differently?? Even putting aside his age and knees? My God excuses after excuse then why did he took a fight if he knew he would loose he was confident he was ready and he would win be he understaminate khamzat and over estimated his ability
