so where the outrage at this fight pay. again

so it ok for the prelim fighter to get 2k cause i cant see how that can be defended. fighers used social media in the ufc. ariel crying about fighers purses and no health care. dont see him asking scott coker or viacom about that
Equate a $2k expense to a company with a $5,800,000 annual revenue company to what it would be for a company with nearly 225 times the annual revenue of $1,300,000,000.

viacom worth just as much as the ufc owner. they can pay more than 2k,

How about bleeding-hearted fans just crowdsource for every UFC event and make sure fighters are paid what they expect fighters should be paid?
It's clear the UFC doesn't quite give a shit

it clear viacom doesnt give a shit either.

@HuskySamoan had caring about, or constantly bitching and whining about fighter pay made a difference yet??

Oh, no?

maybe try a bit harder. I believe you can make the difference.

It's obviously made a difference. This is such a stupid take. Giving voice to issues, spreading awareness, discussing, compiling data etc. It makes a difference and has made a difference. Why are you bent out of shape about what it is largely a noble pursuit? Sure I get tired of the ad nauseum threads and whining sometimes too but it's about as important an MMA relates topic as anything else.

Lol, no it hasn’t made a difference.

even Bruce buffer knows to tell fighters to keep their mouth shut re it. But somehow some random fans of mma on a karate forum will change the scape of things?
{<jordan}{<jordan}{<jordan}

Cmon now.

$2000 is exactly what a non name fighter is worth at that stage of their career. I hate to break it to you but just because a guy trains a bit and fights a bit doesn't mean they're owed tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Dana was right in that fighting is an opportunity. A guy can train hard and rise above the average fighter and do decently well for themselves for hanging out with their bros and banging while the rest of us slog a 9-5 or, just maybe they can spark the imagination of the fans and create a career for themselves that transcends the vast majority of fighters. And that is usually just luck.

They need health insurance more than anything. So wrong that they aren't covered for that when they put their bodies on the line for our entertainment.
Yeah that should be something that's part of the deal on multi-fight contracts. Can't really do that for single fight contracts though.

Nothing is luck. If people think success is due to luck, they have the wrong mindset about success and work ethic. There's a quote about the harder you work, the luckier you get. That's because it's not really about luck. Never has been.

We've moved on to fighter 'gay' issue now. Fighter pay not important

but what about no health care an risking there health for pennies. that what ariel crys about with the ufc.

The four fighters that made peanuts are just above amateur ffs.

If you look at that entire pay schedule everybody made out pretty good apart from those four dudes.

Plus, as a percentage of earnings paid to the atheletes, Bellator pays the fighters a fuck of a lot more than the UFC does.

Employment in UFC is at will.

Fighters 100% choose to fight in the UFC.

Stop bitching about fighter pay.
