So what problems will Overeem give Cain?

He has 99 problems but JDS ain't one.
But Overeem is, so what do you think?
The only advantage I see Overeem having over Cain is his strength. Overeem's K1 kickboxing doesn't really transition over too well in MMA since he has to worry about the takedown (see the Werdum fight).

werdum laid on his back the whole fight? if cain trys to keep it standing or go in the clinch hes putting him self in huge danger

Anyway, Overeem has a sick guillotine and clinch game. That could pose a threat to Cain. Oh, and he hits really really hard.

Should be a great fight.

Cain has to be very aware for about 2 minutes into the 1st round and then after that he should be able to put Reem on his back at will. Reem gases so quick, he better KO Cain right away or it's not going to end up well for him.

Cain is far too intelligent to even let Reem get his chance in the first couple minutes. I think Cain would force a clinch in which he tires Overeem out, then the takedown would come.

Overeem is an absolute BEAST in the clinch, which is the biggest problem I see for Cain. He won't want to shoot in from outside on Overeem for fear of the knee, so he'll attempt to close the gap and use clinch work to transition to a takedown. Not very smart against a big strong guy like Overeem who has a penchant for throwing knees with purpose in the clinch.

The clinch is the real danger zone for cain
hes gotta keep pressure on but not get into a standing clinch or hes dead ....if he shoots for a takedown and doesnt get it he needs to create distance quickly

Cain has to worry about the power in Overeems hands, knees and kicks. His guillotine could potentially be a factor too. Overeem has to worry about Cains speed, wrestling, gnp and pace.

Overeem uses the tools that would have helped JDS (knees/kicks to a wrestler shooting in).

I think Bigfoot has a very good chance of beating Reem, so why discuss it?

Online rants and comments is about it. :icon_chee j/k If he can stand in the pocket and not fade might tag him but Cain is in beast mode so you never know.

Pretty much. Cain will have a much harder time pressuring Overeem simply because of how good he is inside with his Thai clinch and knees. And even if it does go to the ground, Overeem's more dangerous with submissions than JDS.

Reem's gas tank is a problem though, so if Cain can push it into the Championship rounds his chances shoot up tremendously.
