It's not an employer's fault the federal government failed to fulfill its duty and secure the border.

Many illegal immigrants seeking employment have artfully forged documentation. Since most employers lack the skills of James Bond, many will be unable to discern artful forgery from legitimate documentation.

I see the notion of "targeting employers" as a last ditch effort to shift the blame for this problem away from the Government.

If certain individuals have no legal right to be within our borders, it's the responsibility of the federal government to enforce it.

When people refer to employers in this context, Im pretty sure they are talking about ones who are aware of their undocumented status or have suspicions but ignore them with bliss.

No one is faulting employers who are legitimately fooled.
