So this is heavyweight Jon Jones

he looks fat and slow
doesn't seem like his frame can carry the extra weight well. it's all in his gut

1. His game doesn't translate to HW.
2. His body doesn't translate HW.
3. His psychological outlook doesn't translate to HW (afraid to lose)
4. Wrestling is shot
5. Chin is untested at HW
6. No power (no deterrent)-- whether you like it or not.
7. Past prime
8. No roids

That's 8 reasons off the top of my head
<WellThere>

I personally think he look slow af. That's maybe after a grueling set of rounds but that kick is telegraphed and not fast at all. Gane kicks twice as fast, and with power.

He might never move to HW and that might be for his own good.

Jon is way past is prime and he's having a lot of trouble coping with it.

He'd get murdered going against the top HW's Gane/Ngannou

Now is the time for him to get his ass kicked, so his sack lickers can claim he only lost because he is past prime. If had moved to HW 5 years ago there would be no excuses. Now, regardless of what happens, you can forever pretend he's the GOAT. He's past prime, so his losses don't count. Remember Fedor?

Jones is coming for the belt

He is in big trouble against Gane.

in fact everyone is in trouble when they want to fight Gane.

Jones was built and trained perfectly for LHW.

If he goes to HW and has even moderate success he secures himself as the GOAT (PED's notwithstanding) imo. Going from 170-185 is a lot easier than going 205-265 weight class. IMO

So 5 years ago you don't think Jones beats Cormier or Stipe for the HW title?

Hasn't fought in nearly 2 years
Prices himself out of debut
Whines about everything

That's HW Jones

You been sniffing too much glue my friend. He weighed in at 245 for lesnar 2.
You could be right. Maybe it was BECAUSE of the Brock fight that he ballooned up for Carwin or someone after. It did happen, glue or no glue. He was like 265, it was comical.

His best days are over but at least he's doing the right thing by taking the time out to add on the weight and most likely prepare for whoever is the champion. At worst if he loses there won't be any excuses due to his weight gain or poor preparation.

Is Jon been pulsing still? Dude sure has had a falloff lol

Just fight. this is boring now all these posts

By the time Jones moves to HW he'll be mid 30's with 15 years of fighting on his belt, I don't expect much from his move up. I think he should retire, would have been nice to see him take a few exhibition type fights at HW in the midst of his career but the time has past. He has struggled with guys that he should have comfortably beat.

In not one of this gifs is jones standing still or plodding LOL...

Ur a blind hater who cant see the skill infront of you because Jones beat your favorite fighter most likely..

Nor did any of Reyes shots hurt or rock jones...he dropped him with a body shot as jones was off balance from a kick...great timing...but jones popped right back up and kept fighting

I don't have favourite fighters. I watch the sport for the skills.

Every gif I showed was Jones flat footed, plodding forward or back until he had to turn his back to retreat. There is no foot work there.
Jon is a great fighter, who also has the second highest PED violation record in modern tested MMA. Footwork is not his strong point. He is great at managing distance by using his long reach. That goes down as he moves up to HW.

Jon has never had to develope great footwork because of his physical attributes. he is still a great fighter, but that loss is coming very soon. 2-3 top HWs match up very well with him and Stipe (who is his best match up) also does. Jones lacks power and is trading his speed and cardio to try and muscle up. He might pull it off, but I think it will be unsuccessful just like when he did the same for OSP. He 50-45 OSSP, but he looked like a lesser fighter against a lesser fighter.

Again this is why I can't help but dislike Ngannou and Gane even though I always give them their due respect. Their existence just threw a wrench into good plans. Miocic vs Jones GOAT vs GOAT, champ vs champ match, Miocic's continued title reign...

Well anyways, enough of my complaining. Jon Jones looks slow. Yes he was and still is one of the best and overall he's a GOAT but I don't exactly favor him against any of the top elites except Lewis and with Lewis being Lewis, he could absolutely land something terrible.

Gane would break those chicken legs with a couple good kicks.
Jones crippled 99% of his opponents legs who had much thicker legs than him. Hoost would also like to have a word with you. The so called “chicken leg” memes are bodybuilding bullshit.

What happened to this Jones? He did this without even specifically training for heavyweight

The loss of youth.

It's not that he's not pulsing like back then, he certainly is. He just can't get in that kind of shape anymore.
