He heard wrong if it's the same video. It was Paddy talking about how he used to cut 19 lbs of water for 145. He was close to kidney failure then. Paddy was telling this story while he was cutting weight so it might seem like he is talking about the situation now.

There are also his weight cut videos that show he is 167 the night before the water cut. Here is an article that summarized his weight. He really doesn't cut much water.

Might actually be an advantage not being able to take a short notice fight. How often do short notice fights go well for the fighter on short notice? I would say 70-90% of the time they lose. Normally the fighter on short notice would be the dog even with a full camp as the other fighter won't take a better fighter on short notice.

Yeah it's real, Dana means they can't offer him short notice fights because he isn't going to be able to make weight. So it affects them in that way. They need more advanced planning for Paddy's fights because of his weight, he requires more time to drop his weight to be able to make LW.

Well fighters are offered 3 fights a year. Iirc they are expected to fight twice. With that said nothing in life becomes easier when you get old
