NBA So LeBron is the second greatest player ever...right?

Like my post, and realize that's the GOAT doing that in the finals.
What? I didnt like your post, and he did it against unathletic, uncoordinated bums compared to guys in todays league. Grats man. If I threw D'Angelo Russell into the late 80s and early 90s he'd be the GOAT

The NBA recently had a massive decline in viewership from which they seem to be bouncing back.

By globalized you mean more global viewership? The Eurololeague is struggling, few people watched the FIBA euros for example and and i have my doubts about that many people watching outside of the USA.
The game was globalized in the 90s too. One of the bulls key players in the 90s was Croatian. In the first final they played Divac. Schrempf, olajuwon, Petrovic, etc

Any objective and intelligent person watching this era completely understands that it's absolute dogshit.

Speaking of which....

He wouldn't, not only can guys defend, but the bigger wings would slow his ass down. To get separation on shots takes a shitload more energy in todays league and he would get absolutely besmirched on the defensive end. Plus, he was never a high volume 3 point shooter. Playing defense against Jordan would have been incredibly easy with his inefficient usage.
I've watched a shitload of NBA basketball since the 90's.. and still enjoy it to the same level I did as a kid, but the current league is definitely soft.. Jordan would most likely average in the mid 40's.. and he would definitely adapt to the 3pt game no problem, and that's why I say mid 40's.. cause he'll also get his free throws and middeys.. there is literally no defense in the current league at all to be able to stop him .. the talent is definitely there but it's not much different from the 90's other than shooting a bunch of 3's and putrid defense.. how many games are you watching daily ? because if you watch a buncha games daily it's hard to believe that you're not trolling

Coaches today have more skilled and more athletic players than KG.

Paolo Banchero is better than KG.

Btw, I went to 36 regular season games games KGs MVP season. I know how good we was for his era. That doesnt mean his outdated game works in 2026.

You wanna know who compares to older players? Julius Randle. Julius Randle is not a #1 option in todays NBA.

Kg was a bitch but he had good iq

You like to spout nonsense because you have low iq
If by nonsense you mean factual information and I am the smarted basketball mind on this website, yeah

I dont pretend players will do something they never did, no.

I don't know about more talented, their eras overlap. He ultimately was more skilled than Jordan.

Guys who would theoretically transfer to the modern game would be bigs with athleticism, because the skillset might be worse, the athleticism would carry. Like Hakeem, Malone, and Shaq (pre-fat). The only real reason for that too is the mid 2010s was bereft of talented bigs. Thats why Lamarcus Aldridge and Kevin Love were two of the best and Draymond got All Pro votes.

C’mon, dude. Hakeem is the most skilled big of all time. Shaq, Ewing, Admiral, Malone, Zo, Weber, are all up there, too. Barkley had a top-5 all time back-to-the-basket game. And Duncan played 4 or 5 seasons before MJ’s retirement. Plenty of elite bigs/post play in the 90’s.

If anything, those skills have been lost to time, as bigs now are expected to be just another wing.

No, he's not. Not even close. Skills haven't been lost they aren't efficient in todays NBA.

You guys blow the old style of basketball like its something special when in reality its limited AF. You cant have guys shooting below 45% for 2 pointers outside the restricted area and expect to win. Creating a seal in todays NBA is pointless because a crosser will just move and be open, or if you don't know basketball (which obviously you dont) you can create more space with more options running the PnR in the 2 man in todays league. More space =/= better shots.

Here you have it, folks. Something, something more space with more options running the PnR in the 2 man...more space =/= better shots.

And when all else fails you can take six steps to the basket and not have a travel called.

I’m not talking spacing or even shot selection. There simply is no big today that has the speed, footwork, and post skills(on both ends of the floor) as prime Hakeem. If it were as simple as “they could do that, but they choose not to because it’s inefficient”, you would still see some bigs pulling off like Dream(or better). But you don’t.
