So I started collecting vinyl again

and now I'm balls deep. Talk about finding a good vein to start mainlining again.

I'm in worse than I was the first time from 20 years ago. I only had a handful of records and for a while didn't even have a record player to listen to them on.

I'll probably post pics later... but now I'm buying limited edition pressings, rare pressings, mono pressings, first pressings etc. I've definitely gone overboard on the collecting aspect as much as the listening aspect.

What are some of your best vinyl pressings? How big is your collection?

Vinyls ?
Elvis, Stones, Beatles.. and then the rest.
My take

No one's bought anything lately? Damn, we must be in a recession <lol>

lol, I haven't bought anything since that STP record. I've been buying too many expensive records lately.

So my nephew stopped by this past week to clean my furnace. We got to talking music like we always do and he asked me if I knew about Ministry's debut album. I was like, "you mean this one?" Somehow I've managed to hold onto this since high school.

I've been selling rather than buying recently, not a single sale on Discogs though. Not sure what I'm missing
I'm driving up to LA to see David Byrne on Friday and am stopping at a record store that Ive seen on YouTube. I'll probably be spending money then lol. Especially if they still have that white label promo of LA Woman I saw in their channel.

But, once the official represses come about, it makes the bootleg version utterly worthless and they don't bother producing them anymore because they cost just as much as an official pressing. So if they do an official repress of the first two MM albums, or Aenima or Alice in Chains self titled. I'll buy those and sell my bootlegs.
Ask and ye shall receive! They're finally repressing the AIC self title album.. it's coming out in January!

Looks like Walmart will have a purple marbled version.

If I were to start collecting physical music, it would be vynil too.
Some collector's editions are just magnificent.

Ended up going to Permanent Records in LA last night and I could have gone bankrupt in there they had so many 90s pressings and other rare shit. Ended up getting the 1971 LA Woman white label promo and a 2001 pressing of Morning View

Pink Floyd Wish you Were Here... First US press with the hype sticker and the original post card

1966 1st US stereo pressing of Blonde on Blonde. I wanted to get an early copy with the picture of Claudia Cardinale on the inner sleeve... Since they stopped pressing this sleeve with her picture in 1968 since she complained about it and threatened to sue Columbia over it for using her image without her permission.

That's a good one, apparently they just released a remaster last Friday of the original pressing with four original songs they pulled and replaced.

"Rocks and Gravel," "Let Me Die In My Footsteps," "Gamblin' Willie's Dead Man's Hand," and "Talkin' John Birch Blues.

I guess a small amount of the original pressing with those four songs made it out to the public and those are worth thousands.
