So Do We Finally Have a Clear #2 MW GOAT?

Rockhold finished the "other debatable candidate" when he was the undefeated champion. Also finished Machida and Bisping, and beat Jacare, Kennedy and Branch. He has arguably better wins list but also much worse losses.

The only candidacies that Weidman can be up for is
1. It's between him and Hendricks for biggest career cliff dive after USADA was brought in.
2. It's been him and Stipe for beating the most over the hill fighters during his title reigns.

Why is Weidman even mentioned? He only had 2 defenses and didn’t dominate like Israel is.

I apologize gentleman if my OP made it seem like I actually considered Weidman as number 2 overall. When I made this thread I was more focused on UFC champs in my head.

But I have made at least 2 or 3 threads stating why Weidman is not number 2 at 185. One in particular @pankrat participated in heavily. I don't know if you remember. I even made threads arguing Jacare and Mousasi over him.
With that said, having a UFC title reign always puts him(Chris) in the convo and that is what I had in mind.
