SNES Classic

$79!?

What's the point? Even the worst laptop on shelves today can emulate any SNES game at 4k.

What kind of ass fuckery do you have to do to play it on the tv with a controller via your computer?

Plug your computer into your tv, and plug the controller into your computer. Its the same process whether its a console or computer lol

I want to add it to my collection. I already regret not buying NES classic. Not gonna make the same mistake again. Also it's pocket change.

The main draw for this is that this is a supposedly finished version of Star Fox 2.
The leaked versions out aren't finished, as per a Dev they had some fine tuning and qa to do. And this version should have that.

Hope I can actually get my hands on one.

Fuck Nintendo for their limited stock. The demand is so high for this stuff, why dont they release more?

Lol, the only hardon here is the one you apparently still have for me.

I do have a hard on for you because you asked for it.

In the NES thread, i sang the same song HHJ is singing, but you got triggered from me saying people should not waste $60 on something they get for free. Theyre suckers. But god damn, did you not like that.

So now we have a hatred brotherhood. Let it truck on.

You also tucked tail and left that thread when my $60 purchase became worth several times that over night when Nintendo discontinued them.

<Waaah>

Right. At first i was breaking balls about cost, got told i was poor because i know how to websurf, theb told its about nostalgia/convenience/collectible, fill in the blank. Now im wondering, poor or not, are being this stupid? or lazy?

I first emulated NES, jesus, over a decade ago. Played them again, then found the SNES one among all the others. For me, i played the shit out of them to the point of boredom, so its ran its course, there and back again.

That said, these devices come out and i say what i believe is the obvious and i get attacked. But I'm the asshole pointing out the obvious then the poor asshole after being called an asshole.

I tucked tail and left, as you say, because there was nothing left to discuss. You like pissing money away cuz you dont seem savy enough to use emulatorz.

Tell me, how much did you pay for a World Championships cartidge? Can i call the Waaaaaambulance for you when I laugh? Oh but its a collectible.

I didn't piss anything away. If at any point I decided to I could sell my NES Classic at several times what I paid for it.

Lol at how stung you are.

These are for people that want a plug an play solution. Yes, it's easy to download a rom, etc etc but some people don't want to go through that hassle. This will also attract the non gamers also, everyone that grew up in that generation has memories of playing a NES or SNES and it will tug at the nostalgia feels.

I dont think its worth making,to be honest, with that small amount of games. Better off putting them on the Virtual Console and buying the ones you want, when you want, and offering them for cheap, since, yknow, these games are like 20 - 25 yrs old already, and many who want to buy them have already played them a million times. I understand the convenience part,i would rather buy Donkey Kong off the virtual console than use an emulator, but I dont want to pay more than 1 or 2 dollars for it. I bought the original for 50 or 60 bucks back in '95. Anyway Emulators are easy as shit. It really doesnt take a genius to take 5 minutes to learn how to use them. I know that what Nintendo is doing will be a success, and its a smart move for them. But for myself,I think what they are offering isnt anything so great, and I think that really old games like this should be as close to free as possible. I can bet if there were only 10 games instead of 20 youd have some guys prying their smiles wide trying to stay enthusiastic about this miracle in reverse engineering that they must have.

It's a fun, inexpensive collectible.

This. People are looking into this way too much. Also every salty video game nerd in this thread is assuming that everyone is savvy enough or even wants to go and download an emulator to play SNES.

I love FF3, Earthbound, etc etc and I'd love to go back and play them, but even I don't want to bother downloading an emulator for it. Much less go as far as to hook it up to the TV. Maybe it's just a dad with a family that wants to play some old classics with his kids and doesn't want to download a godamn ROM to do it.

I realize it's not that hard to do. But people are lazy and want the path of least resistance. If I can get it in a neat little system and have a cool little SNES displayed in my room then it's worth the money. I've even thought about going out and buying old systems just to have something cool, retro and hipster in my room. So having a mini SNES would serve both these purposes.

There is no savy to it. You just download the damn thing.

Its faster to download a emulator and rom than it is to run to the store to buy this thing. And you save $80.
