Skin infections from jiu jitsu

I've been using an over the counter shower gel (~$2.00) and a loufa for several years. No ringworm, no staf, no nothing and no need to spend over $5.00 for a bar of soap.

As long as you thoroughly wash yourself after training (Head to Toe!), wash and dry your gear properly, you don't need to purchase any of this overpriced "soap".

If I felt the need to spend an exorbitant amount of money on "soap", I would prefer it be tested by the FDA. “All Natural” is fine and good, but Poison Ivy and Lead are “All Natural”, but I wouldn’t wash my ass with it.

Got an email saying my sample is on the way from Defense. Hopefully our moose-based postal system gets it to me soon!

Since they 'invented' samples, if ABC cares to do the same, I'm glad to accept a sample. I'm not sure what sort of comparison I can do, but I'm willing to try :D

This actually isn't true. You may have gotten lucky so far and not gotten anything, but many of us do these same things and have gotten something. I'm not saying that the solution is to buy an overpriced soap; I'm saying that even if you wash your hands and arms when leaving the gym, even if you strip naked in your basement and drop your clothes and gear directly in the washing machine, even if you immediately go and thoroughly shower, you can still get both staph and ringworm. It happens.

And people that get flu shots can still get the flu. Sure it happens, people get sick, its natural.

and when drug trials are conducted there is never 100% successful results. I think we are all in agreement in regards to the OP, use common sense, shower and wash thoroughly (with expensive soap if it makes you feel more protected), don't roll with open wounds, practice good hygiene, and wash your training gear and you will minimize your chance of getting sick.
 
Guy, your questions were answered. I'm sorry you cannot understand them :redface: You're asking me to speak on other soaps and I cannot do that.

You made a soap in your garage. The quality control and research must be top notch...

Cool idea but unfortunately I can't bite. We'll be going in on an order as a team after we get our samples from Defense, and there's no way I can organize us by friday for something we've never even seen before.

Should be useful for a lot of people though
 
Adam these readers are a little more educated then what you are giving them credit for. Everyone here knows you have not answered these questions. Instead, you go on the attack to cover up your a. your lack of knowledge or b. the fact that your skin sanitizer is nothing more then a gimmick.

I will be more then happy to illustrate how how gimmicky abc is when you answer the questions. Let's do it one at a time so we all can follow along.

This petty bickering between you guys is probably making you loose business more then gaining business. If you can't be professional with a business competitor how are you going to treat your customers?

I've found that unprofessional business practices carry over to customer service. Quit being argumentative bitches and promote your own product. Stop trying to out do each other with insults and innuendos.

Care to disclose what the issues were with those 2 people that wanted a refund?
 
Not a problem at all but first let me say education is just as if not more valuable at fighting these infections then any product.

1. We had a mother who was giving her ten year old son a bath after wrestling practice. We tried to to explain to her that showering was a better method. She refused to have him shower. Defense can't work for you if you don't practice proper hygiene.

2. The 2nd was a repeat customer who ordered from us on several occasions. One day his package was returned to us. When we asked him why he simply stated he wished for a refund.

Out of the 120,000 plus I feel that is a pretty good record.

I was taking showers since I was like 6. I can't believe a mother would bathe her 10 year old. Gross.
