Hey Guys,

Just wanted to come on and give some details for the next batch.

Batch #7 / 7th Son / Limited Edition

450gram lightweight jacket
10oz ripstop pants
2 inch longer knee pads

****Our first release of a 450gram black kimono with 10oz ripstop pants. The crotch on these knee pads on these pants are also ripstop fabric.

We are very excited with this series of gi's and with the chance to collab with world famous tattoo/bjj/ and mma artist Luke Stewart!

Batch #7 / Goldenstate / Limited Edition

450gram lightweight jacket
10oz cotton drill pants
2 inch longer knee pads

*** * This will be another version of our lightweight 450 gram kimono series. We have changed the version of pants on this model to a heavy duty fabric of cotton. This allows for more wear on the pants during training and less shrinkage then our previous comp standard 450 (8 oz twill cotton).

We will be back to answer more questions. Thank you all for your feedback good and bad. We will continue each and every batch to make our kimonos better!

Also guys.

With this shipment of batch #7, we will be getting some stand alone pants as well.

White Ripstop 10oz Pants

White Drill Cooton 10 oz Pants

Blue Ripstop 10 oz Pants

If that helps. Thanks again guys.

i'm sorry to hear that cotton pants are changing to the heavier material -- MAN i love my superlite pants! -- but i'm sure they'll still rock. is it a goldweave gusset this time or pearlweave again? frankly i don't see the benefit of the pearlweave. it's not soft and it doesn't stretch.

not that it matters to anyone but me, but my opinion of that blue and yellow gi is slowly changing the more it sinks in. i still think the black coulda been a little more exciting than just orange on black, but i think i'm digging the white. and actually, i'm kinda wishing they'da put the yellow/blue on the black gi! but whatever. this is why i need to start designing my own damn gis. it's too easy to be a back seat driver.

i will say i'm still kinda missing the shoyoroll chest patch. it's probably the only company out there where i'd actually *like* to have it, instead of ripping the damn thing off!

I'm pretty stoaked that there will be a set of stand alone pants that we can buy.

This! I would love to have the option of paying $5 or $10 extra for a color matching lapel patch. It would look killer on the GoldenState gi.

Also, so this new batch will be similar to Batch 6 correct? Or will it be more similar to the comp series released a couple months back?

Vince referenced the comp series directly in his post... Soooooo I thinks it's safe to assume it's going to be like the comp series :)

I just want to know when and where I can pre order.

I'm not sure because the Comp series was 500 grams, not 450, and Batch #6 is actually listed as 450 on Budo.

I thought it was originally going to be 500 but then turned out being 450? its listed everywhere as 450, but maybe I am mixing things up. but that leads me to think its based on the comp and that they are using the same drill cotton pants, and it looks near identical too.

The GoldenState gi is pretty sweet but it would look 10x better if it had the old chest patch they used to use. Why arent they putting the patch anymore on their gi's? They should at least make some that match the gi and sell them seperate.

Ah, you are right. I was mixing things up. It did end up being 450 I believe. I like my batch 6 much better than the comp, I hope its based on batch 6.

hey cody what are the differences? is the cut different? if so, how?

thanks man!

I don't get what the big deal is about these Gi's. I take it everyone wants one because their is a limited quantity? I have 4 atama white Gis. Im white gi for life man

batch 6 didn't have a strong collar like the competition gi. hope they keep the collar from the comp gi.

The cut is slightly different. Also, even though my Batch 6 is listed at 450 grams, 50 less than the comp, it feels thicker to me. Anyone else think this?

Also, the pants on my Comp model shrunk more than my batch 6. They are still fine to wear, just a touch short.

There is nothing wrong with the Comp gi IMO, the Batch 6 just suits my body better. I have had a Fuji, Redstar, Mundial 9 and Syr Batch 6 and comp. The Batch 6 is head and shoulders my favorite, probably followed by my Redstar.

They are limited, look good, feel good and fit good. What else could you want from a gi?

They fit me better than my white Mundial 9. If you want and 5th white Atama i'll sell it to you.
