I mean you want to see the baddest of the baddest at HW, lets have no limit at all.

I want to see the best most athletic monsters out there fight the best at HW.

Making it the ultimate weight class. And the best fighter clearly is the baddest man on the planet.

What's your take on that?

Sure, let's bring even more unathletic fatsos into the division. 😣

Why would they even consider signing a guy who can't fight? We're talking about guys that can actually fight who are athletic that are heavier than 265 or over. So there will be just a small group of people that size.

Were talking about guys who can fight and I'm sure UFC will screen these guys carefully.

There aren't many people in the world who are very athletic beyond 265 lbs. Hell, there are barely even any NBA players who weigh more than 265. And those NFL players that do aren't really athletic.

But there should be a limit regardless. Do we really want to see 400+ lbs guys in there? Nah.

I think a nice compromise would be to make the limit 280-285 lbs. Beyond that, we'd see freak show fights.

No I'm talking about guys who are big that can fight and no how to fight. Not just fatsos who have no skill set whatsoever. There will be a very small minority that would be athletic and have a good skill set and be monsters. So, why not give these few rare guys a chance at least?

Do these guys really exist in MMA, though? There are only 8 NBA players beyond 265 lbs and none of them are the athletic type other than Zion Williamson.

For every mythical athletic fighter at 300+, there are probably many thousands of unathletic guys out there lol.

Even if they know how to fight, they'd be slow as fuck and it wouldn't be entertaining in a good way.

I understand that, but these guys will thoroughly be screened before they sign with the UFC. Why not just give these bigger guys a chance, if they are out there. So we have the odd super monster fighting. It would make great interest imo. Get a guy who weighs 240 fight a guy that's 340.

I don't think these guys even exist at the moment.

Can you name one known MMA fighter in the world who weighs 300+ and is athletic and knows how to fight? Anyone out there at all? 🤷🏻‍♂️

As said, there are likely guys at 300+ who know how to fight, but it'd just be like watching a fight in slow motion lol.

Fair enough argument, but I'm just saying if they are out there, why not give them a possible opportunity?

Btw boxing has no weight limit, why does MMA have to have one?

Boxing seems fine without a limit, you see guys fighting there. Zhilei Zhang weights 282 lbs and he's quite athletic.

Well, if we start to see these specimens who are like 6'8", 300+ lbs and very athletic, then by all means change the rules and give them a chance.

But until then, there's no point removing the limit. Because this hypothetical fighter hasn't arrived yet.

Yes, that way Tai Tuivasa doesn’t have to cut and can fight at 350lbs of pure fat

They'll cut him from the roster if they can't fight well anymore. In boxing they have no problem without a limit. And there all pretty skilled.
