Should I start Westworld or Breaking Bad? - Update: Watched WW - Now What?

Spartacus was decent, I thought it was a bit pornographic in that the graphic sex scenes didn't really propel the plot or the storylines. But it was decent.

I thought so too.

I was skeptical at first but it kept getting better and better.

The action was too over the top, though. They should have toned that back some.
 
Neither watch Gomorrah. It is better than both. It is fast paced, but never redundant. Each episode is filled with stimulant.

I just watched BB for the first time and it's easily the best show I've ever seen. If you're interested in starting a great show, BB is the answer.
 
Why does someone always bring up the wire? extremely overrated. It may be the most overrated show. ever.

Id say start with WW cuz its short. BB is awesome, but youll need more time.

People bring up The Wire because it was a brilliant show, not over rated at all. It was next-level television and told a story, multi-layered and complex, that painted the most accurate and compelling picture of a city that we have ever seen.
 
I would do BB just because the series is over and you can go through the whole thing.

Sure, first season was really good, but the second season was a straight up masterpiece. Some of the best television out there.

hyped for season 3!
 
West World. Only 8 episodes, it's a good show, then you can go right into BB.

This is what I actually did. I just finished up Westworld. I really really enjoyed it. I've started Vikings for a few episodes b/c it's free on my Amazon Prime, but honestly I'm not overly impressed yet. I want to stick with it for now and see if it speeds up. Once I get my Netflix I'll hit BB.

I'm also thinking about The Man in the High Castle though I don't know the gist of it it has like 100k reviews on Amazon Prime.

Also Deadwood and Boardwalk empire entrigue me. As does Workaholics.
 
Breaking Bad is more fast paced and exciting once it finally gets going, The Wire is amazing in the details and the writing, honestly my favorite. You can't lose either way...can't recommend Westworld right now, I might try to start it again after a while.

I started up Westworld, and promptly turned it off at the rape scene in episode one. I'm not squemish and the scene wasn't particularly bad per se, I've just had enough of that particular tv/movie violence for a while. I really like the concept though, is it worth it to skip past or is this a recurring theme?
