I have a love/hate relationship with AE. Pretty much NOTHING is "intuitive". Even though PS is not easy, it's a walk in the park compared to AE. You can mostly figure out PS on your own, but AE you need tutorials on how to do pretty much anything.

But with this Shoop, you can quickly interchange heads in a click of the button. The BJ and Chuck Shoops are using the exact motion. Just make sure the heads are the same dimension and voila, a 10 second Shoop

Ya unlike PS the 'replace' function in AE is incredible. Saved me lots of hours of work in the past

I know After Effects has some kind of tool where you can lock an image onto a specific part of a moving video and it will intelligently follow it around, then you can smoothly increase the size as the camera pans in.

Not sure if it's possible to do in photoshop though.

I'm hesitant to crack open AE because I know it will take me forever to get used to it again haha.

Yea it has an auto "Tracker". I have never found any use for it in Shoops, but that's my personal preference. I see some people on here do use it (even top contest Shoopers) but you can tell as the head (or w.e) doesn't follow correctly and it looks "floaty".

If we were using hi res source video (Blue Ray +), I think it would be more accurate as there is more detail for the tracking to latch onto.

You can use it for tweens. Plus that one shoop you did with Struve eteng an slad could be done easier in AE as it can tween puppet warps. What you would do is place your puppet warp pins at the beginning and end of the mouth animation and dont move them. Then in the mid somewhere warp his mouth open. His mouth will open then close. As a side note variations of this technique can be used to raise eyebrows, make someone smile, just open someones mouth etc.

But yea, tweens. Just use it for that and your good. Msg me and we can talk more.
