ElevenLabs for the voice clone. Hedra for the voice-to-face sync. This is the only one that didn't end up with a distorted face, I think because I screencapped the .gif when the mouth was open because it seems like if the mouth is closed in the photo, everything distorts.

Pretty neat, though i'm not a big fan of AI. I think it takes away from the art and creativity these shoop threads were meant for.

But it's crazy how far technology has gotten haha

Yep, I agree. My video was more of a tech demo. My shooping creativity pales in comparison to pretty much everybody else here Not to mention my technical ability, which is WAY less. Just hope the video puts a smile on Mike's mom's face.

While there is some validity to what you say for preserving the authenticity of "hand-made" shoops... I'd rather have these created than not.

AI is a great tool for someone who doesn't have the time to make them "the hard way..." & if it's just for fun & not subject to a contest, then this application of it in particularly, seems like a perfect use. I, for example, would shoop a lot more, & make a lot more gifs if teh process were more streamlined. It amazez me how clunky photoshops image tracking is & how lengthy the process is of correcting it.

There is an art to it, that is thrilling to work with, but for me it's more often than not... too much of a time suck for me to engage in on the regular. Doing things the "authentic way" is very much better for someone with a lot of free time to engage with the hobby.

I completely understand what you're saying and agree. I should've clarified that I was referring specifically to AI generated art, where the AI not only does the work for you but also handles the creative aspect.

This of course is a whole different scenario, especially since he's telling the AI exactly what to say. It's pretty awesome.

I'm definitely all for quicker ways to get things done. And yeah, making gifs can be super time consuming and honestly a pain in the ass haha.
