Now, only if he could land punches with knuckles instead of sides of wrist...
Good post
A prime healthy Shogun in todays environment with todays training smashes everyone. Jones and DC being his ONLY tough fights
That's it?
Was TS just trolling?
It had nothing to do with a massive flying knee that would have poleaxed 99% of the roster on the spot.
He didn't have obstacles other guys haven't had.
He never even missed that much time between fights. Weidman has had multiple surgeries, and was out a year before he fought Anderson.
King Mo almost died after his cadaver ACL dissolved and his staph infection started eating his leg in the hospital.
People never mention the surgeries Forrest needed, and he still beat Shogun. When Shogun was in his mid 20's, fresh out of Pride.
Shogun: Hypothetical Winner Of All Fantasy Fights Never Fought World Champion
It's such a shame he can't find the same success in the ones he actually does fight.
I like how Gus eats almost all heavy punches and strikes back right away.
1. Weidman had a meniscus tear. Shogun had 3 ACL tears. BIG difference in severity and quantity of injury.
2. Mo has been beaten by Emmanuel Newton twice. That's a far cry from losing to any of Shoguns opponents. Knee surgery or not, it's likely he would have never reached the level Shogun has.
3. Shogun was fighting WITH an ACL tear vs Griffin the first time. That is a more serious injury and more more of an issue during a fight than Griffin's. Shogun also avenged that fight by first round KO.
4. I'm not saying everybody who fought Shogun was 100%. I'm saying the knee injuries, by themselves have taken away much of Rua's abilities. Sure other guys had injuries, Shogun had additional injuries as well (not to mention Chute Box damages).
The guy is a Pride GP winner and a UFC LHW Champ. You need but watch his fights to see the decline. It's not imagined. His skill set didn't simply become outdated.
No. Shogun fans really are this delusional.
He also got rocked and dropped in the first. They both scored 2 knockdowns each in the fight. Henderson's final one was the greatest of the 4.
As this thread proves, Shogun haters are truly delusional AND FAR FAR worse
Proof: posters like you, Hola, Rozko and others in this thread
Shogun fans are educated fans of the sport who actually know what they are talking about
