Sometimes I wonder if yall watched PRIDE.
Barnett also tapped to strikes against Cro Cop.Not exactly sure what you're asking here but yes people that have fought in Pride have tapped to strikes. That's not really a surprise. Big Daddy-Valentijn for instance happened in Pride. Yvel tapped to strikes against Barnett etc.

Yeah just like how Herb Dean stopped it with Rockhold and Weidman
That's what the refs are for and your corner to throw in the towel if you are done. Most people that have tapped to strikes could still fight, they just gave up. They weren't out yet and they could've still kept fighting. If you can tap you can punch. GSP just didn't want to risk getting knocked out completely, so he tapped since he was rocked. Other fighters fight through that.Nothing wrong with tapping to strikes, if you're taking punishment and come to realize you can't compete or affect change anymore its a realistic decision. But let's be serious, Khabib bullied his cousin for tapping to a choke. I had a coach tell me one time "don't give up like a pussy, if you get hurt go out like a man" and that was for my first amateur fights as a young lad.
Never ever got the hate for tapping to strikes. You guy's clearly haven't had a grown man on top of you raining down hard punches. Most of you usually just have grown men on top of you.
The 2 biggest that get shit on for tapping/quiting are Shogun and BJ both these guys took horrible and don't think either could go on. The funny thing is I was never fans of ether untill these fights, both guys showed tremendous toughness and deserve respectThat's what the refs are for and your corner to throw in the towel if you are done. First fight as an amateur is more about experience and minimizing injuries. You can risk injuries if what is on the line is worth it. Amateur fights where nothing is on the line and you aren't getting paid for it, focus on your health and being able to keep fighting after that. Save that for pro fights and when a lot of money and a title is on the line. You won't make it there if you are burned out physically before that point. Also people only really care about pro records, so amateurs is just about experience.
Really it's a lot to do with mentality. A lot of fighters aren't ok with tapping to strikes and submissions, others are. It's very dependent on the fighter and their fight mentality.

That was also different. He got thumbed in the eye and blinded, and knew that a soccer kick was coming that he couldnt see.Barnett also tapped to strikes against Cro Cop.
I'm more of a power top honestlyNever ever got the hate for tapping to strikes. You guy's clearly haven't had a grown man on top of you raining down hard punches. Most of you usually just have grown men on top of you.
You gonna give me that ass beating I apparently need? I don't think so punkNever understood shitting on a fighter for this. This isn’t a fight to the death, it’s a sport. We don’t berate fighters for tapping to submissions. Nothing wrong with living to fight another day, there’s real long term effects in this sport. Also, I assume most that say this shit online have never had the shit beaten out of them and probably need it.
you can just turtle up like Rory mac did against Lawler and the ref will stop it right away. No shame in that.
Yes,it is different.is tapping to strikes really any difference than curling up and doing nothing?
