Thor wasn't known as a huge squatter at that point. It was considered his major weakness.

Those events heavily favoured Eddie.
 
Strong man has never been just about static mass monster strength, I think it's at it's best when it tests speed and gas tank as well. It's best for the athletes health too.

Thor squatted nearly 1000lbs in 2017. he had the heaviest squat in Icelandic history in that year. as far as i can tell, Eddie has never squatted even close to that. the only one that kind of favored Eddie was the shoulder press. but even then, if they really wanted it to favor Eddie it should've been a log press for weight. i think Thor just dropped the ball. with as much stuff as he achieved, i think he's some what of an underperformer in WSM. he should've won more titles than just one. and i think Eddie Hall overachieved.

i'm not saying they didn't favor Eddie, but those events also favored Hafthor and Brian Shaw. that's all. i think Eddie is a fuckin scumbag with how he was during the pre-fight shit talking with his fight with Hafthor. he really showed his ass there and it was disgusting. telling Hafthor's mom to shut up, having his autistic son sat between him and Thor. shit was borderline cowardly.
 
Great start for Hooper by the looks of it, think the Flintstone Lift later is gonna be interesting
 
What happened with the Deadlift ? The leaderboard looks confusing as if a few guys couldn't even lift it .
 
 
And the Flintstone lift could be a major issue for some people. Thought that was tomorrow for some reason

yea, i think Arnold's classic is more of a test of strength than WSM. Arnold's has always been a really heavy competition. not that i dislike WSM, i think both are great and i like that they're different.
 
 
Novikov dominating the last 2 events still a razor thin edge on Tom , the Truck Pull will be big , I think he needs a type of damage control since he is one of the lighter guys in that event, but you never know he might just surprise again .
