They Don't understand how Strategic each fucking events are , especially since each Heat as a Stone off for the 2nd Qualifier and they need to have a mix of securing a Finals spot and saving Energy for the Finals. Filthy Casuals

It's pretty awful, but, devils advocate says wsm is about those who adapt and stay calm, who can deliver whenever. It's like the shitfuckery is part of the test.

Just saw the sponsor CBD they are everywhere even UFC.

But it's not like they're fucking over everyone equally. Some guys get really good events in the heats and everything good smoothly. Other guys get shit events and everything in the heats goes bad.

But from the very outset event choice benefits some and not others, they don't even define the events past "loading" or "frame carry", no description of distance or weight, they don't know if it's deadlift max or for reps until the competition! So it's not equal and you have to make the best if it.

It changed from a train pull to a lighter push, that probably drained those that did it a lot less. The real bummer were for the two that tried to pull the train and to a lesser extent all those that had a 5hr longer day. The two that suffered that equipment malfunction have right to be real pissed.

I don't know why they didn't organise a practice area with weights etc, it's not like they don't have sponsorship from an equipment manufacturer and lots of transportation organised.

Wsm is obviously screwed by the production company running the show. However, it's that production that is largely responsible for the popularity of the sport so I give them a little slack. They just need better management.

Yeah they should have allotted the testing for gear and rules verification the day before. They probably didn't accout to the hear locking up the breaks.

Aye, I guess in fairness a train is not a piece of standardised equipment and the heat seizing up the brakes was probably not something the train engineer would have considered, being used to operating with the power of the engine. To a strongman however a small amount of initial resistance is fatal.

Yup if they don't get it rolling initially, it's not moving. But they have done train pulls in African Heat Before so I'm not completely taking the Orginizers off the hook.

Crazy to think that if he hadn't had that equipment malfunction Oberst could have been tied for first in his heat at this point.

Agreed, I've never had any confidence that he was serious enough to fix his weaknesses but it looks like he's doing well.

Not anymore lol. He bungled the overhead medley.

Oberst again showing that he's not nearly as good as he likes to believe. His only claim to fame was the American Log record that he set many years ago (and pretending he was close to Big Z)

Is Jerry trying to game the system? Down to three in his group so why bother wearing yourself out if you automatically get to a stone off. 4d.

Yeah, reckon he's injured enough not to give a fuck about TV appearances.

Pretty smart. If first is out of reach, count on whoever you face in the stone off being worn out.

If Bish is smart he'll do the same thing, since he cannot get first. All three take a pass on the pick axe hold and save themselves.

He has a lower Back injury causing his hip and hamstring painful tightness , he mentioned he isn't dropping out so I expect him to be strategic
