Its in a few Days , not going to be fully Televised , since they usually edited it and send it out to ESPN/CBS in December. However the World's Strongest Man FB page will be providing live updates from Bradenton Florida.

This Might Be Brian Shaw's best last chance to win his 5th Title.

Eddie Hall and Haftor are retired and Martins Licis (Last Years Champ ) is not competing after recovering from getting hit by a car and Mateusz Kieliszkowski pulled out due to an Injury . The UK probably gives him his biggest competition in the Stoltman Brothers , Been following Shaws Training and Big Loz's Channel for updates leading up to next week. Any other Fans who you got ?

Brian Shaw takes it. He is a giant with freak genes.

Who do you think is the greatest strongman ever? And who is the most freak genetics?

Greatest ? I would put Bill up there he dominated from 80-82 and due to disputes with the promoters was away from the Competition for a good 4-5 years when he was arguably at his prime.

As far as the Freaks I think Mariuz and Haftor are freaks in their own right. Mariuz looked like a body builder , moved fast and had respectable static strength. Haftor is just a behemoth when at his peak and was pretty explosive for his size.

I'm a big fan of how consistent Shaw is , he had the Tim Duncan approach to training in that he is always mindful of it and he should be held in high regard for his longevity.

Kaz.

Despite being the reigning champion, the organizers decided not to invite Kazmaier to compete in the following four WSM competitions, with Kazmaier claiming it was because he was "too dominant".[11][12] His absence cleared the way for Kazmaier's main rival, Geoff Capes, to win the title in 1983.

Yeah first few were barely anything more than USA + couple of token foreigners......not that BK wasn't impressive, just nowhere near the depth of talent or knowledge there is now.

Like comparing Royce Gracie to Jon Jones.

True but it should also be noted Kaz was a Montrous Powerlifter , he was essentially the Big Z of his era in that he had tremendous Static Strength and Surprising Mobility.

True but if he was around nowadays with his genetics and todays knowledge and roids he'd be up there with those other guys

I agree with this because Kaz and modern guys like Licis are actually around the same size and it would have been interesting to see him at his prime train in gyms like the one Shaw Built for himself.

More than likely would be just a shade below Shaw, Z and Thor, imo.

Would probably suit the Arnold’s more.

Shaw is in Florida, now in Quarintine til the Comp

Shaw winning is not a Given he was 6th last year and JF Caron and Tom Stoltman both beat him last year. Big Lawrence talks about it here

Lastly Martins Licis is in Florida to cover the event and he also interviews Mateuz who will be getting surgery should be today.

My biggest issue is how the hell we can even watch it. Any suggestions?
