Novikov is Champion . 2nd Ukrainian to win 1st since Visal Vyrastyuk. Novikov is only 6'1 just and Hover just above 300. Young too. T Stoltman , and a the (hopefully) healthy Mateuz and Martins will be gunning to return back to form. Great win for the Young Bull.

You see the rest of the standings? I haven't seen anything yet.

No.

Apparently. Stoltman was 2nd and Jerry got 3rd. My guess is JF didn't do to hot in the Stones. Stolman is essentially the King of the Stones now that Thor is retired and Shaw being old, so I imagine he won that and every fell into place and Novikov did well enough to secure the win since we was clear of Stoltman by a good bit goin into it.

I fully expected Stoltman to win the stones. And JF is pretty middle of the pack with stones, he almost always finishes, but his times aren't the greatest. So that likely means 4th for him. 5 years in a row of just missing, that's brutal.

Yeah the Podium Trophies are pretty sweet. Well goes to show nothing is a Given , Shaw looked old and realistically I think his chances were over hyped , even I bought into it , Stoltman lived up to my expectations though clearly I had no Idea Novikov would come on this strong.

This is why the last Man Standing was dumb. Last year Novikov was clearly the 2nd best guy in his heat with 17 points to Shaw's 19 , but they started the 2nd vs 3rd place last year and he had to face Trey Mitchell who only had 10 points in last man standing and he lost 14 - 13. So we didn't even get to see what he could have done in last years Finals.

At least they did away with the last man standing. Hopefully that trend continues.

Yeah last standing is dumb , but I think 2nd vs 3rd should only happen if the Gap is less that say... 2 points. Novikov had 17 to Mitchell's 10 , I don't like the wildcard of a guy being lesser across 4 events and then given life because he might be better at the elimination event.

It gives guys the option to sandbag and shoot for third, rather than to push. Like what Oberst did last year. Not a fan of that style of play. I would actually prefer if it was just the top 2 that advanced.

Exactly, I hate that approach.

Novikov is 24 , Stoltman is 26 .

@irish_thug the future is now

Mateusz and Martins are 27 and 30 respectively so they got time to make nice as well.

Novikov, Stoltman and Kieliszkowski are the future.
