He said he looks like he teaches it. With understanding like yours it's no wonder you didn't think it was funny.i just watched it. I thought it was cringey. He says his dad coaches girls basketball and then waits for laughs as if he told a joke and then says "wow i thought making fun of my bad woudl get more laughs". He then said that he would like to teach 9th grade sex ed and pauses and acts surprised that no one laughed as if he thought that was funny. I like him normally but yeah count me on team he sucked on snl.
I could feel it my plums!I could feel it on my couch
Where is this narrative that he’s a secret lefty coming from.Gillis is a lefty so no surprise he may be a closeted racist and said shit in the past. With that said, he is a generational talent arguably already in the top 10-15 of all time
He said he looks like someone that would be a coach slash 9th grade sex Ed teacher. And that is what I want to be. That’s my dreamHe said he looks like he teaches it. With understanding like yours it's no wonder you didn't think it was funny.
I finally got around to watching it last night. There were a couple of off points in the monologue but overall pretty decent; you just expect it to be hit after hit when it's being delivered by a comic so from that point of view it was slightly below expectations.
On the whole the sketches were pretty good, though the game show one was kind of meh.
Used to be a place where top talent went? Really? It's always been a place for prospects as far as I can tell. The list of people who became famous only after doing SNL is a mile long.
Yeah they probably would and lol at RDJ, like he was some great cast member.Eddie Murphy, Chevy Chase, Chris Rock, Robert Downey Jr., Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, etc. ain’t walking through that door these days.

I think in the last ten years there have been really good cast members, and as time goes on it’s becomes harder and harder to stand out because so much has already been done. I think all y’all just have your nostalgia glasses on.You’re not following the reference. You really think the talent SNL has produced in the last 10 or so years is on the level of the guys mentioned? The Blues Brothers alone is greater than anything any recent cast member has done.
Didn't make the broadcast

That’s not SNL those are movies, glad I could clear that up for you.Nope. What cast member in the last 15 years has done anything remotely as popular as:
The Blues Brothers
National Lampoon’s Vacation
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
Happy Gilmore
Billy Madison
Big Daddy
Tommy Boy
Trading Places
48 HRS.
Coming To America
Beverly Hills Cop
Ghostbusters
Elf
Step Brothers
Stripes
Planes, Trains, & Automobiles
The Great Outdoors
That’s not SNL those are movies, glad I could clear that up for you.
And only one of those movies is based on An SNL skit.
You’re comparing movies from the 80’s, 90’s, and two from the early 2000’s to movies now? All of the decades produced way better movies than the last decade. It’s a pretty stupid comparison .When’s the last time a regular SNL cast member from the last 10 years made a movie as popular as those?
I wish Shane went with the gaySeeing big Phil on primetime TV made me so proud.

The movie was vastly different you goon, but I thought we were just talking about SNL .So SNL cast members from back then not only made better movies but were vastly more popular?
