That's actually the only one that's surprising to me. No one else on that list is surprising. I am surprised Shane would turn it down. If I was a high level comic I wouldn't do it. Someone like Burr doesn't need the money I don't get why he would want to involve himself in that. If a comic needs the money though I get it.
 
I hope lefties stop praising Bill Burr now. He’s obviously full of shit with his whole the billionaires and the real baddies shtick. Guy is rich himself and clearly doesn’t practice what he preaches.

Burr with hair was awesome. He wasn't the man of the left during his Roganverse days. I stopped paying attention years ago when he got married, btu I knew he jumped the shark when a casual (boring person), pro-palestine buddy of mine started sending me Burr clips like he just discovered comedy outside of sitcoms.

Yeah and while billions seems like a lot, there are almost 2,000 universities in the US so a few billion is a complete drop in the bucket.

Obviously not all schools are going to get it equally but even if it's concentrated in the elite schools, we're still talking dozens of them. These are schools with tens of billions in endowment.

And of course, there's zero evidence of research being influenced by them. No professors have said that they were removed or intimidated or something for teaching or researching the bad things about these countries.
 
Sounds like he has more integrity than any of our elected officials.

Its a weird situation. Amount of money they are throwing around is quite absurd to those participating. Especially since theyll be in a enclosed tourist section of the region. Where the laws that their citizens must abide by isnt applied. In a region where the leadership rules by authoritarian standards around theocratic foundations.

End of the day its western facing theater. Theyve slowly infiltrated all aspects of sports, entertainment and commerce. Even Trump and his immediate family was bought by them dating back to his first term.

They're opening up and making reforms, that should count for something.
