I think if you're a human you should be afforded the same rights sir.

Sorry - I don't really understand what you are trying to say here.

Are you saying that even non-comedians shouldn't be condemned for offensive things they say if they are joking?

Yeah...im saying nobody should be condemned for exercising their constitutional rights sir.

Comedian or no comedian a joke is a joke.
You don't have to be getting paid to have those same rights .

That podcast is hosted by 2 comedians. It's a comedy podcast.

I don't judge people if they don't want to watch or do not find it funny - that is 100% fair. Everyone has different tastes and find different things funny.

There is no chance the actual decision was actually amicable though - he was just being classy on his way out the door. At the time that was his big break - no one envisioned him becoming as big as he did over the next few years.
I truly don't know or care enough about this guy to argue with that. I'm just not sure why that means SNL should not rethink the decision to hire someone who tosses around [racist epithet for a Chinese person] for a joke.

I'm sure political correctness has gone too far in some ways as it pertains to comics, but I'm equally sure I'm quite tired of them complaining about stuff they "aren't allowed to do anymore," as if it's been the death of comedy.

I'd also agree it's good for comics to push boundaries, by the way, but it's rarely without its difficulties whether that be now, or 100 years ago.

Shane and Luis are about as funny as a case of herpes.

I don't care about politics so that has fuck all to do with my opinion.

I think Gillis is funny and a shame he did not make the show, but probably worked out better for him.
I will make life a lot easier on you, both side are full of idiots, and once you reach that point, it gets harder for rage porn peddlers to keep you enraged.
I think the MAGA wing of the GOP are fucking morons and I think the commie, 105 gender wing of the Left are fucking morons as well.
It is dumb to cancel a comedian, song or even a TV show. The best way is to dont consume it.
MAGA fans will throw a beer can at you if you make fun of Dear Leader.

But you rage out constantly.

That's because you're, no offense, a fucking dumbass.

The joke they were making was that the idea of shoving all the chinese people in one place and calling it 'Chinatown' was racist.

They were satirizing racism.

A basic nobody using racial slurs is gonna lose his job, not that big of a deal.
But people grow and change or atleast get smarter when to use their racism, so we’ll see how it goes. In my opinion he probably isn’t racist , even in that clip he seemed to be the least racist of the two, but was more trying to be an edge lord and when being offensive is part of your schtick than a racial epithet will do it.

LMAO, professors preach hatred about white people every day. Some call for genocide and they don't get fired. And they aren't joking.

I agree in a private setting. If you are just telling jokes to your friends, who really cares.

Just speaking for myself - I would never say offensive things publicly though in front of people who don't know me personally, like on the job or to random people on a subway - that seems like a recipe for disaster lol.. but, in the USA, I think its protected as long as its not considered to be a threat or incitement.

Not a left/right thing

Black comedian had half of his audience walk out due to a George Floyd joke

There’s overly sensitive people… sign of the times I guess

Miss this…

Bush embracing Carveys over the top impression of him

Bush Sr was underrated

Its funny because the morning radio show I listen too were doing a bit about the guy who started Fazoli's (Italian chain restaurant) is a Japanese guy which started in Kentucky.
So of course they do the Japanese voice and then the Kentucky voice making jokes about it. It is funny on the surface when you put all the pieces together.
So then about an hour later, they were complaining about people texting in saying the voices were offensive. Here is the crazy part, the Kentucky crowd was complaining as much as the Japanese crowd. BTW nothing they said was overtly racist, it was just jokes about the craziness of a Japanese guy starting an Italian restaurant chain in Kentucky which makes it easy to create a bunch of jokes
Yes people are too fucking sensitive.

Lovely. Perhaps they should have said so instead of issuing an apology and not mentioning it at all.

Shane is one Rogan's funniest friend - in fact, him, Normand and Morril are his best regulars - though I do fucking LOVE when he has ari, segura and bert on. they're just acting like a bunch of big kids and it's fun to listen to.

You can't say anything on the job anymore, but I hear ya barkin big dog lol

Cool story, with so much vagueness .
People calling for genocide should be fired or shamed into hiding.
And anyone preaching hate should be fired or shamed into hiding.
Not that hard of a concept. But you strike me as a fragile little ninny, so I’m sure your “preaches hatred of white people” is pretty weak.
