If Leon's fans want him to face a striker, throw him Prates. This would establish Prates in the top 5 if he wins and give Leon and his fans a stylistically favourable fight. (Personally I think Prates is a nightmare match up)

Nah Prates has to earn his way to the top, anyone who beats Leon in his next fight will have earned a title shot. Why should Prates skip the entire top 10 & get a fight that Brady / JDM / Buckley deserve much more than him?

Edwards is ranked #1, if Garry beat him he’d be #1. A former champ or title challenger getting a title shot off a rebound win isn’t even that unusual.

It’s all about timing and circumstance when it comes to title shots, not actual merit, that’s a fairy tale some people like to believe but isn’t actually true.

Anyways as noted Garry said he won’t fight until Summer so Garry vs Edwards won’t happen anyways.
