Crime School Shooting In Wisconsin

You clearly did and then you spewed vitriol towards Christians. Try not being a huge piece of shit.
No, I expressed disdain for the POS right wingers ITT that immediately turn these threads into an LGBTQ bashing session, and those that treat LGBTQ people like shit for their gender or orientation. And I used the word “Christian” in quotes to denote those who like to describe themselves as Christians while simultaneously failing on every significant aspect of Jesus’s teachings.

Queer kids have a hard enough time in this country—mostly due to the backwards-ass ideas spread by the Right—without having their entire population lumped in with murderers or people with serious mental illness.

Obviously not even the terrible shit you all do and say about queer kids justifies murder. But you know that, and you know I know that—this is the right wing game: make terrible assumptions and shitty accusations about queer people, and then smear anyone who defends them.
Seriously go fuck yourself.

So what are the odds that this person is also LGBTQ++ ????

I only ask, because virtually all of the recent mass shooters are.
Really? I remember the one FtM that shot up a Christian school she went to as a kid but other than that one where are all these transgender mass shooters?
The word "amendment" literally implies a change to the constitution. They've done it 27 times.
Sure but its been over thirty years since we've passed a constitutional amendment and with the current levels of gridlock that seems unlikely. Remember to pass a constitutional amendment you not only need supermajorities in Congress but 75% of state legislatures have to ratify the amendment so even if Dems won the House and Senate a little over a dozen state legislatures could torpedo the amendment and we have plenty of deep red states that could play that part.

I bet they both had ketchup in their fridges at home.
I just assume anyone who has ketchup in their fridge has a penchant for school shootings.
I bet the parents bought the ketchup, and the ketchup wasn't antisocial <BC1>

people can only get guns illegally because they are easy to get legally though. every city with strict gun laws that is rife with crime has easy-to-access guns just outside city limits.

well sure, but i think we're a century or two away from fully grasping that and correcting it. a gun ban is far quicker and easier.

no doubt that parenting and mental illness need massive intervention, and in a utopia that would be ideal. as far as a partisan perspective, there's only one party cutting spending on mental health coverage and outreach. it ain't the democrats.

Chicago (proper) has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation. You don't actually think people have to run to the suburbs to illegally acquire guns, do you?

Is your assertion that if you simply made gun laws super restrictive everywhere, that the tens of millions of illegally acquired guns now would...vanish? Be confiscated? If so, how?

I've been a gun owner, I'm far from anti-gun. I believe in the right to bear arms. That said, I think our society has had an unhealthy infatuation with guns for too long, too. And it's not the guns themselves, but that they represent such an escalatory power that's our problem.

Used to be if assholes were bullying a kid, that kid for revenge might fuck with the bully's possessions. Egg their house or fuck with their car. Now it's suicide or coming to school and shooting people. And that's exceedingly rare compared to run of the mill dustups that now end with shots fired. Normal bar fights or traffic altercations end with someone shot dead when in the past that was extremely rare. Yet...we had readily available guns then, too. The difference is that people valued life more. We now live in a world where most interactions are digital. Giving a fuck about your fellow man is an annoyance. Easier to shoot them in the face when you disagree with them.

I don’t think a school with the name Abundant Life Christian would be public.

Jesus, now it’s slightly less abundant. These shootings gut me every time. Soft targets and soft ass shooters. There seems to be less shootings as if late at schools. Hope the trend continues.

That's some take. That's like saying a girl deserved to be raped and murdered for showing a bit of ankle. You could also argue if we hadn't normalized mental illness for political gain this could also have been been avoided by nipping it in the bud. The massive explosion of trans kids is not a natural phenomenon, the woke mind virus helped foster and encourage mental illness to a dangerous degree and now the chickens are coming home to roost.

Think about it logically, why was there not a load of trans kids shooting up schools in the past? They were even less supportive and accepting back then so shouldn't the mass shootings among trans kids have been higher if lack of acceptance and support was the cause?
Your “bit of ankle” analogy is really, really poor.
I’ll say this clearly, since some posters ITT don’t seem to understand my point—or at least are pretending not to: nothing justifies what happened to these victims today. This was obviously a terrible tragedy, and my heart goes out to the victims and their loved ones.

And for the record, we don’t know a lot yet about this shooter or their motive. What I *am* calling out, is this tendency on the Right to stigmatize and smear LGBTQ people on the whole while simultaneously turning a blind eye to everyone else in the equation.
When we had the Nashville Christian school shooting, the talk from the Right was all about the shooter being trans and there was practically no talk of how trans people are treated, particularly by these so-called Christians.

Are we thinking this kid here in WI is Christian? Did they want to go to a Christian school? Are we thinking they had tons of support and love from their families? From their teachers? From the other students?
And clearly this person seemed to have serious mental illness and the support was likely lacking there too.
This is an entirely different scenario than your “bit of ankle” analogy.

No one is “normalizing mental illness for political gain.” Being queer is normal, and is not itself a mental illness.

Right wingers are such cancer on humanity.

They don't give two shits about children being shot, they only care if they can blame a minority group for it

Na, conservatives on average care more about kids than lefties because a far higher percentage actually have kids unlike doomer nihilistic lefties who think we should stop reproducing in order to lower the carbon footprint.

More trans or left wing anti Christian terror I gamble.

Good thing we’re about to have an FBI who isn't going to ignore the increasingly violent radicalization of the alphabet clan.

Unlike Wray who doesn’t give a shit about anything if he can’t somehow claim it’s his “right wing domestic” manbearpig.

4 replies before someone made it political. Sherdog gonna sherdog
Great call out.

In your view, would it be more productive if we all refrain from making this political or do you think we should all just say fk it, if you all get to do dumb shit then we should get the same opportunity to be equally as stupid as the others?

Society has softened and is more sensitive to bullying. Now, those that feel power level powerful with a gun. Overall, I think our hoodrats are more of an issue than the occasional school shooting, but those seem to hit harder, at least for me.

Seems like the elephant in the room, but maybe people are too apathetic to care.

When I was a teen, we would get in scraps over stupid ass stuff. Some girl had a party and invited guys from another school and we wanted to mark our territory so we'd start shit with them. Most of the time bluster and puffing out chests, here and there actual fighting. Black eye or busted lip was about the worst we'd see. Now? Shit, I can't imagine being a teen. All the "dumb kid shit" we did has become crazy high stakes.
We had a few fistfights. They shoot each other. We smoked some weed. They have to worry about anything they ingest or inhale being laced with fent.

Like, it sounds like old man shit I know...but what the hell happened?

They aren’t experiencing life. Literally it’s all phones and no human interaction. No ability to communicate or even feel.

It is old man shit to be clear, violent crime rates have plummeted since the mid to late 20th century and teens are consuming less alcohol and drugs than ever.

So if anything kids these days are getting into less trouble than you did at their age.
They aren’t experiencing life. Literally it’s all phones and no human interaction. No ability to communicate or even feel.
This is true but its also the reason they're committing fewer crimes and ingesting fewer drugs than ever.

Having kids =/= you care about kids

The right does nothing to improve the lives of children, in fact they are usually against it.

Free school meals? nah
Paid parental leave? nah
Common sense gun regulation? nah

Etc etc

The analogy was apt I thought, sure I used a dash of hyperbole but the point was to highlight how you were guilty of victim blaming which you clearly were despite your backtracking attempts.

The trans fad has certainly been normalized, if you got in a time machine and went back 20 years and told the average liberal that in 20 years putting kids on puberty blockers and performing irreversible surgeries would be normal and only far right bigots have a problem with it they'd think you were a loon.
